We arrived at Oberstaufen on a Friday evening and, hungry as we were, tried to find a restaurant with vegan options. We were more than surprised to find a fully vegan restaurant with good reviews in our immediate vicinity.We tried calling but since we couldn’t reach anyone we decided to just go and check it out.Turns out it was not officially open to the public.That, however, did not stop the very nice and welcoming chef from serving us a 3 course meal!The mushroom carpaccio was exquisit and both our main courses (pumpkin lasagne and jackfruit ragout with freshly made pasta) were divine. We even got to try some yummy vegan cheese.So, if you ever are in the area or need a vegan place to stay at in this picturesque alpine town: I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and restaurant.

We were guests again at this personal and superbly located hotel. Now with vegan cuisine! As non-vegans, we were totally thrilled. Both the extremely rich breakfast with unexpected, delicious surprises and the creative 3-course menu impressed with their sophistication and taste. You can also enjoy breakfast and the kitchen as an external guest - highly recommended!!! ANOTHER insider tip...

An excellent hotel with very friendly staff, where you can relax and unwind. The staff responds to the wishes of the guests so that you can really enjoy your (spa) holiday and warm up and relax in the in-house sauna after a cold and strenuous day of skiing. Unfortunately, the house's internet is a bit unstable and we had a problem with the hot water pipe in the shower, but thanks to the caring staff, this was quickly resolved. I can really only recommend this hotel, as thanks to its location it is not far from the ski area or the swimming pool. So if you want to really enjoy your (spa) holiday, you've come to the right place at the health hotel Witzigmann.

We were only there for dinner. The vegan cuisine is mega🤩 We had an excellent meal. The food is unusual and extremely tasty. Even non-vegans would be thrilled. If we were in Oberstaufen again, we would book a room here just because of the kitchen.

We only have a relatively short journey from Lake Starnberg to Oberstaufen.Ideal for a weekend trip that allows you to quickly forget everyday life.It should be mentioned that there is parking directly in front of the house.A very friendly, warm welcome upon our arrival.The health hotel Witzigmann has a wonderful, ideal and yet quiet location.Just a few minutes walk from the town center.There is more of a family atmosphere in the hotel which we like and appreciate.The rooms are functionally furnished and very clean.The breakfast was rich, varied and lovingly prepared.Supplies were quickly provided.Special requests such as freshly prepared scrambled eggs were immediately fulfilled by the very nice, considerate staff.This included a personal morning greeting with interested questions about our well-being from the boss, Dr.med.B.Fink, including tips for things to do.We have felt very comfortable there for years and are always happy to come back.Hence our absolute recommendation because the price/performance ratio is also right for US.Perhaps the only thing that could be noted is a better oneWiFi connection for all rooms.The boss has already gratefully acknowledged this.

The health hotel Witzigmann is a hotel with a pleasant atmosphere. It is in a very quiet location. But after about 10 minutes on foot you are in the town center. There is a rich buffet for breakfast. The staff is friendly and courteous. For a hotel of this class it is very affordable.
