DISGUSTINGOur experience at this hostel in Hamburg was utterly disappointing and far below any acceptable standard of accommodation. The sleeping arrangements were appalling; instead of a proper mattress, there was only a thin piece of isolation foam placed on a wooden frame. The pillows were merely folded blankets stuffed into pillowcases, which provided no comfort whatsoever. The hygiene and cleanliness of the hostel were equally disturbing. The bed sheets were visibly unclean, showing a yellowish tinge that suggested they hadn't been washed properly. The condition of the shared bathroom facilities was atrocious. Out of five toilets, only three were functional, and one was in such disrepair that it could only be used as a urinal. Shockingly, there was even fecal matter left unattended in one of the toilet cabins. The state of the showers was unacceptable; they were too dark and filthy, creating an unwelcoming and unsanitary environment. These conditions are not only unsuitable for any guest but also raise significant health concerns.Furthermore, the atmosphere of the hostel felt unsettling and did not seem safe or well-regulated. We felt like we were the only tourists in the hotel, the other guests were Taliban looking men walking around in their thobes and bare feet like they came out of a refugee camp and they were staring at us with very uncomfortable looks. When my girlfriend was in the showers I felt the need to wait outside the door for her to come out. This experience has been incredibly terrible, and I strongly advise potential visitors to consider other accommodations in Hamburg to avoid the discomfort and poor conditions that we encountered.

This hostel is best for tourists, both prices and services are best. The receptionist is also nice and helpful. The cleanliness of the hostel is good. The kitchen has all the equipment available if you wish to prepare your own meals. Cold water, hot water, and green tea are free. If you want coffee there are machines available with some charges . The location is great, close to the Berliner Tor metro station. If you are from India, then Gurudwara and Devi Mata Temple are also very close to the hostel.

Great location regarding nearby transport (bring earplugs for sleeping if you are sensitive to noise), and necessary shops. Staff were lovely, rooms were clean, as were the shared bathrooms. It was awesome having a kitchen and a fridge their too, so meal prep was possible :) Highly recommend for tourists - some staff speak multiple languages!

avoid it. noisy. unsafe. no lockers in rooms. unfriendly staff. My dorm 4 bed female the door is often left open! A card table is right outside my room with random men playing cards all night.was often woken up at 3am. it was prepaid for 9 nights with no refund or I would move to the Generator. This is unpleasant and not my idea of a nice holiday in Hamburg.

Perfectly good place to stay for a few nights.||The beds were comfortable, the showers were clean and there was no issue with getting hot water and that kind of thing.||There’s an underground station practically at the door of the hotel and it gets you into the city centre in a matter of minutes.

Zero. Paid for 9 nights( non refundable) in a 4 bed female dorm. Right outside door is a table where the management and random men play cards all night, loudly. My 3rd day here My Door is Always open.the management doesn't give a toss!. Plus the female shower was filthy, wet towels strewn.

Very simple and basic hostel. But it gets the job done. The service of the staff is outstanding... We came in late at night and also had to check out really early. The clark stayed in for us. We were a bit on edge if it turned out fine. It did! Thanks a lot!

The location is quite good, close to a metro station and close to the central station. I shared a room with my husband and children. The room was big enough and clean, comfortable beds. Unfortunately the kitchen was not very clean. We were there during a heat wave and garbage was kept way too long in the kitchen. I don't recommend visiting with children. Also: before you go: check if the construction of a new railway bridge in the back is still going on. We were unable to open the window at night because the work continued all night and the noise and bright lights disturbed our rest. Sleeping with windows closed is never comfortable if you ask me, but during a heat wave it's simply unbearable.

The mattresses are really bad, the beds are squeaky and a bit wobbly too. Only two showers and two toilets for the binary genders on the hallway - not many for quite a few people in the hostel.||Cheap atmosphere. Wouldn't recommend staying here if you dont have to.
