Really nice place to stay in Hamburg. Been here for the second time now and will definitely be back. Easy to reach with U-Bahn and/or bus. Nice, clean rooms, easy to get the key when arriving, nice breakfast options, very friendly staff, snacks and something to drink available as self service in the evenings. And not to forget: art all over the place :-). I will be back.

A charming place. Almost perfect. Traffic noise, though, when you keep the windows open at night. And it's not located downtown. However, the neighborhood is nice. …

Hotel with a special soul around photography. Well located. But excessively pricy for what it is.... Poor communication with the owner who turned out to be too aggressive in my opinion when we both realised a huge misunderstanding on the night rates. We stayed there for 2 nights. On the phone we understood the price was of 160€ for 2 nights, which was obviously good value for money for the location.. In the email it said "05/08 to 07/08: 159€". All the other options underneath were clearly marked as a price per day ("pro tag") so it was easy to assume that this was the price for the 2 nights as opposed to all other options. It was only written at the bottom of the email in the T&C that the price was per night. At the check out, I was asked to pay for 320€ and very surprised... I was alone (foreigner who speaks bad German) whithout my German wife. I ask to phone my wife before approving any payment... And the owner suddenly jumps on his book where he had written down our credit card information at the booking, in order to force the payment. I only wanted to make a phone call. All my IDs and cards were on the counter. Their reaction was so aggressive I could not believe it...Clearly it was not worth 160€ the night. I can understand that 80€ would be way too cheap, but you can get much better quality and location for 160€.

Spend 2 nights here. ||Modern decorations but with extremely unfriendly owner, too high handed and arrogant. ||With the price we paid I think we can get much better serivce elsewhere.||I will not recommend to stay here!
