I am not a person who usually complains about anything, and when I do I hope that others understand the reason for my complaint and try to improve as much as possible. Unfortunately I do not recommend this place at all, VERY cold, uncomfortable and VERY bad service. The first day I arrived at the room at 10 pm since my flight was delayed. As soon as I opened the room I knew that it would not be a pleasant stay, inside the room the thermometer read 5 degrees, the windows were open and the heating was off. It was difficult for me to "warm up" the room since the heating was not very good. I asked for a room with a double bed for myself and finally they gave me a room with two terrible single beds, with two mini duvets that do not fit the bed at all. That night and the following nights I had to sleep with a duvet on my legs and another on my torso, even so everything was very slippery and every now and then I had to get up to protect myself from the intense cold.My routine during my stay was to leave around 9:30 in the morning and return around 8:00 p.m. Every day without exception I found my room with the windows open and the heating off so every day I had to heat the room for at least an hour. One of the nights, at 11:30 p.m., they knocked on my door intensely a couple of times, I came out having just woken up and three men were at the door, one of them entered the room without asking, which I don't think is legal (I don't understand anything German and I speak little English) and he told me that he had called the police, that you could not smoke in the room... without knowing exactly what was happening, I responded as best I could that I had not expressly smoked in the room, That the few times I had done it, I did it with half my body outside the window, there were no signs prohibiting it, even so I am a respectful person with everyone and I did not understand his complaint since it was impossible for him to smell of tobacco. They left saying that they would not call anyone... ° . ° without understanding what had just happened, I had to go back inside (make a fire to heat the room) and try to fall asleep (barely) again.Several nights, an intense beeping sound in the hotel hallways did not stop ringing every 30 seconds. Already fed up with the annoying noise, one afternoon I had to go down to say that they would turn it off, even though it was on for more than two hours. If you want to relax it is not the best. The next point in my opinion is the most serious. Another day when I got to my room, I found the door completely open, open all day, with the great luck that all my things were inside. Nobody takes responsibility for this.As a final experience... On the last day I asked them to leave my suitcases in a safe place until I had to go to the airport and they told me that I could leave them safely in the hotel restaurant. When I returned 3 hours later I was able to enter the hotel, go up to the restaurant, take my suitcases and leave without any type of supervision... EVERYTHING IN THIS "HOTEL" IS WRONG.I leave the "experience" of entering the bathroom for the adventurers who, after reading this, still want to come...I rarely post a review. Although I consider that almost everything can be improved, people are interested in their businesses and a star does them a lot of harm, but in this case and reading more reviews from some tenants, I do not recommend such an experience to anyone. It is by far THE WORST "HOTEL" I have ever been to.

We arrived a the Altes Sudhaus quite late and they were very accomodating. We were only passing through Aschaffenburg and not staying, so we were not very choosy when booking the hotel.  …

Hotel is centrally located to quaint shopping/walking area. Staff/management were very accommodating, as we changed our reservation probably 4 times before the trip. …

I just arrived. It's a bit of the track but obviously very quiet. Bus station a few minutes away. Appears to be clean. The first night was a bit noisy due to the location of my room facing the road in front of it. Breakfast buffet with a sufficient choice of food to choose from.

I was so lucky to find this little hotel after coming back from Nurnberg..The folks that run this place made me feel at home immediately...I had been stationed in Aschaffenburg from 1960-63 and they remembered our unit.. …

The rooms are fully equipped (TV, fan, water, refrigerator...) In the breakfast room you can also take a free coffee and water 24/7. The rooms also have a calming aura due to the beautiful view. Perfect for companies and families.
