A very nice pension in an pretty city with several kids friendly activities. The owners are eager to help you and the rooms are clean and quiet. Close to supermarket and stunning hiking

If we could, we would give zero stars. Went to the Spessart for a week to visit relatives and booked this house based on the pictures and reviews. The approach is very steep at the end, but that's probably the case in the mountains. We were greeted warmly and taken to the apartment. Like the rest of the house, it smelled extremely musty and stale. The bathroom is very old, which isn't a problem in itself, but unfortunately it wasn't clean either. The smell made the whole apartment seem unclean and you didn't want to touch anything, let alone take off your shoes. The mattresses were of different heights and unfortunately neither were comfortable. They were very soft and seemed saggy, so we both woke up with back pain.We looked for an alternative to overnight accommodation in the evening and left there immediately after breakfast (that was okay) and stayed in much nicer accommodation.

Great hosts, very nice busy corner. Everything was very clean and equipped with everything you need. Parking spaces in front of the door. For me there is nothing to complain about here.

Warm, nice people, super hospitable, beautiful place Heigenbrücken in the Spessart, I've been here 28 times. Beautiful rooms at Wenzel's...everything was clean! Definitely again and again!

I can only recommend it, by far one of the best guesthouses I know. And the Wenzel family (owners) are really very nice and very loving. I felt like I was at home.
