Hotel an der Fähre is a charming, relatively old hotel that offers excellent value for money. Despite its age, the hotel provides a delightful experience with a few standout features. The most notable is the hearty breakfast, which was both generous and delicious, setting us up perfectly for the day ahead. The price we paid for two people was exceptionally reasonable, especially considering the quality of service and amenities provided. It's rare to find such a good deal elsewhere. While the hotel itself has a vintage feel, it adds to the overall charm and provides a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. In summary, if you're looking for an affordable stay with great breakfast and a unique, charming ambiance, Hotel an der Fähre is a superb choice.

This is a pension next to the rhine. It definitly has character. The lady that runs the hotel is very friendly. The rooms are less comfy. Smelly and cramped. There is 1 shower for 3 rooms. And 1 toilet. The furniture looks like from a thrift shop. But downstairs the hotel has a lot of atmosphere. If the rooms were a little bigger or nicer decorated/clean this would be a great place to stay. Also. We had the view of a nice brick wall.. romantic..

This is a two-star hotel, so you have a shared bathroom and toilet. As we just stayed one night, this didn't bother us. The rooms are simple but adequate, and the beds are good. Breakfast is fine. …

We stayed here the night of September 8th. The hotel is in an excellent location and the room and the view of the Rhine River were fantastic. The people running the hotel could not have been any nicer to us. …

Great hotel. Convenient to train station and ferry or cruise piers. We had a room overlooking the Rhine River and could watch river traffic from there. The room was clean and quiet. The dining room was nice and breakfast was good.  …

Worth paying extra for the view across the Rhine to the castle. The room was large and comfortable. The included breakfast was tasty and fresh. The owners were very hospitable. Easy walk to the centre of St Goar which is small. Cash only payments and no check in before 2pm.

We stayed here only for a night and enjoyed the comfort of a hotel with home stay style hospitality.||The hotel interiors are beautiful with wood work, paintings and decorative items. Our room was on the top floor i.e. 4th floor. …
