Location, location! Just meters from ferry, tour boats and train. Many rooms and dining area have castle and water views. This is an old guesthouse but it was very clean. The room was dated but very big and comfortable. If you book directly with the guesthouse you get a very large continental breakfast included. For the region I thought it was good value and I would stay again. However it was a rainy evening and we decided to dine at the hotel. Very basic and reasonable brat and schnitzel options. While my husband liked his dish my vegetarian option was 18.90 euro and everything on the plate was out of the freezer. I would not eat dinner again.

We ate at the restaurant, rhe food was good but they fail to mention that you can only pay with cash. Then I give them cash and expect the change, but the manager just assumed I wanted to tip the rest without mentioning a thing. I had to go to the front desk to insist on getting the change. This is outrageous. I would not recommend to step into this place, just for the service.

On the plus side the food was nice, the fries were particularly good and the location is great for people watching. Toilets clean. On the negative side the service was slow and the bill simply made up from the man's head. Our bill should have been 71,70 Euro. He told us we owed 80 Euro. I paid 80 Euro and he then said over half a dozen times "service not included". So I cannot work out what the extra 8,30 Euro he added to the bill was for? So I asked for a bill, but the man walked off and never brought one. We simply left and there was no way I was going to be giving them more money.I assume that this is simply a scam run by the waiting staff to rip off tourists.Oh and be careful it is cash only - I guess that makes it easier to scam people.

We were looking for a place to drink a coffee, unfortunatly we didnt look the reviews of this terrible place. The service was horrible, the owner should'nt work in a touristic place when he can't have the heart, the kindness for humans. A lot of people can do your job better so you should change your profession and go where your terrible attitude can match and work on yourself to understand what is a simple thing called : RESPECT.The owner got the privilege to own a place with a beautiful view, but my advice to people who want to eat/drink something, keep going on the street and you will find other restaurants that are much more better.

We stayed here for 3 days as part of our anniversary vacation, and really enjoyed it! The staff was friendly and welcoming, the rooms were comfortable and clean, and the food in the restaurant (both breakfast and dinner) was good! It was perfect for what we were looking for on this trip. We very much enjoyed our time here, and would definitely stay here again!

A server should never tell the customer they must tip. The tip is earned with good service. They stamp “service not included” on the bill. This is misleading as service is included. An additional tip is not obligatory as the waiter tried to tell me. This place benefits from a great location and doesn’t try very hard otherwise. Could be so much better.

We should’ve left when the owner told us « HUH? » when we simply asked for a coffee. He then tried to scam us by making us pay 10€ for two small and disgusting coffees. We would’ve laughed if it wasn’t so pathetic… trying to use tourists to make a very bad business grow. Needless to say: don’t go there.

When we went to pay the server casually changed the price and added 10 cents, which doesn’t seem like a lot but when I showed her the menu she was visibly angry as if she’d been called out on a scam she typically runs on foreign visitors. I would avoid this place in the future, there are more honest folks around.

Very disappointing meal in a good location. All my vegetables had obviously been defrosted, simply warmed up and had some hollandaise sauce from a carton poured over them. They were watery and unseasoned. No effort whatsoever had been made to give them flavour. At the end of our meal we were told the restaurant did not accept card payments. In a tourist region in 2023!?

Fairly bland and chewy schnitzel at too high of a price for the food you receive. Worst of all the coffee I had with lunch was perhaps the most unpleasant coffee I've ever drank while dining out, it reminded me of weak airplane coffee. Really no culinary wizards here. The staff were friendly though.
