Somewhat older rooms, freshened up with paint and new flooring, but very synthetic duvets, which makes for very clammy nights at higher temperatures.

Overall it's a bit old, but very nicely decorated everywhere, including the stairwell. The rooms are renovated (except for the bathrooms) and friendly, the beds are good, with fairly hard mattresses, which was perfect for our backs. You can overlook a few scratches in the laminate. There was really hot water in the shower, but one couple of colleagues didn't have it, so we had to find and open the hot water tap in the bathroom, which is pretty unusual. Hair dryers are available, the towels are thin and have not been changedWhen we arrived we had really cold (sorry for the choice of words that can't be spelled out here) temperatures in the room, that's certainly different when you're expecting guests, we think the rooms should be preheated a bit. Heating is a big issue for the rustic-friendly landlady: Always turn it off completely, even when you're in the room, that's very important to her (even if it's complete nonsense in terms of energy!) Once you forgot - you can imagine - you weren't reprimanded in such a friendly way! Room Service/Housekeeping: Have the beds been made? We don't think so. The trash can hasn't been emptied in three days...The breakfast, which was charged extra, was good and the coffee was nice and strong. If the lady of the house hadn't pushed us a bit in the morning, we as a group would have stayed seated. By the way, the table was very nicely set for Easter. You can take drinks in the lounge in the evening and use the fridge, the prices are low.Overall it was a mixed picture, but we still felt comfortable as a group. At 84 euros per double room with breakfast cash, we found it a bit too expensive for the service.

Location and location are great! The cleanliness of the room could be improved in one corner there were a few cobwebs and some dust under the bed. It didn't really bother us personally, but I'd still mention it as a suggestion for improvement. Breakfast was great, the warmth and friendliness of the housekeeper is unsurpassed. We had a small problem (no cash for the breakfast we had spontaneously booked), but this was sorted out immediately in a friendly manner. We'd love to come back!

My wife, grandchild and I stayed at this guesthouse for a weekend. There was already very positive and friendly contact with the owner by telephone in advance. Since we arrived later in the evening, the room key was deposited, which worked without any problems. The room was very spacious. Closet, seating and TV all available. Furniture is getting old but everything is intact and clean. Extra bed linen was provided as requested. Bed was great, no squeaking or creaking when you turn around. Bathroom big enough. Even if everything is clean, something could be improved here. Soap, shower gel and a hairdryer were all available. The breakfast was really great for the price and you can start the day relaxed. Sausage, cheese, cold cuts, eggs as well as honey, jams, muesli and fruit are all fresh. Fresh rolls and fresh coffee round off the breakfast. And now I would like to highlight our hostess. We've been around a lot. But I have never experienced such friendliness and warmth. You don't feel like a guest but rather like you belong there. First class, some star hotels can learn a lot from this. And as a child you have a particularly good time here. We can fully recommend this guesthouse. Price / offer: Very good. And one thing should be kept in mind. If I expect standards like a hotel, I should look for one in the area. This is a guesthouse and not a hotel. It's like apples and pears. You shouldn't forget that. We would book the guesthouse again and again.Addendum: In the breakfast room there is a small selection of drinks such as beer, wine and soft drinks as well as small snacks at reasonable prices. Payment is then made in the box opposite. There is also free WiFi throughout the house.

Beautiful guest house with old charm and a lot of love. The boss is absolutely top notch. We were there over the weekend with our grandson and also received undivided attention. The breakfast was absolutely top notch. If you want extras, no problem. The bathroom is certainly in need of renovation, but you should not forget that we are talking about a pension and not a hotel. Everything you need is available in the room. Even shower gel etc. Price performance is absolutely fine. So I can't really understand the negative reviews. We really liked it.Many thanks to the boss

A nice little guesthouse in the Vulkaneifel that offers some very nice rooms for a great price. The operator was very friendly and warm. I can't comment on the breakfast, we ate everything outside.Cleanliness: When we arrived the room was pretty clean, with a few small dust and hair accumulations here and there.Quietness: The biggest point of criticism... Not only are the walls extremely noisy and you can hear every single drop of water flowing through the pipes from 6 a.m. onwards... Conversations are also difficult to ignore. If other guests talk on the phone loudly late in the evening, the guesthouse cannot do anything about it. What I found really unpleasant were the very loud conversations across the hallway from the operator herself. At 7:30 a.m. in the morning I think of more professional behavior towards both sleeping and working guests (a guesthouse may not be the ideal place for a home office but that was a bit too much for me).Facilities: The basic equipment was actually quite good - hairdryer, small soap samples, towels, even a television and a WiFi amplifier - probably no one can help the poor internet, for me it was a blessing to have any at all, otherwise nobody would be able to work It was still possible to plan a reasonably sensible trip. All in all, quite ok for in between
