We had a great room, it had a balcony. The Receptionist is very kind and gave us a freindly welcome. Beautiful located, great view, room can get dark and it was quiet. The service can be really improved tho regarding their breakfast department. Clearing tables restocking items, drinks and food etc.

Stunningly beautiful. In Bad Ems you will feel like you are in Italy. It is an excellent place for a short vacation. The hotel is lovely and the rooms are spacious. The Parkhotel is a magnificent Victorian building located just a 5 minute walk from the Bad Ems train station. In 1869, Empress Auguste Victoria stayed at the Parkhotel as a young princess. It is a testament to the splendor of days gone by, but has retained its romantic charm. The rooms are spacious and bright, and when the weather is nice, you can enjoy your breakfast on the terrace. A few steps away is the Balmoral House of Artists (Künstlerhaus Schloss Balmoral), whose fellows might be pleased to have an interested visitor. I fell ill during my stay and received so much kind help from the owners, the Shrestha family, that I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank them once again. They provided me with biscuits, tea, etc., and the artists' house for which I was to work sent a doctor and procured medicine. I had never been sick while traveling alone and was happy to receive this care.Bad Ems in the beautiful Lahn Valley is a journey back to the imperial era. With its magnificent baroque architecture, it is still worth a visit today. If Bad Ems were on Lake Garda, like other summer resorts of the emperors of that time, it would still have the visitor numbers it deserves. It has Italian flair and a thermal bath that is worth a visit, at least for a day. The centuries-old Marksburg Castle (12 km) and the Electoral Palace (19 km) are not far away.It is the perfect destination for nature lovers, culture and history buffs, outdoor sports enthusiasts and the health conscious.

Very nice hotel, conveniently located 5 minutes away from the railway station and 15 minutes walking (the walk through Bad Ems is really pleasant) from the thermal baths, with a nice view over the town. Although the hotel was clearly built quite long ago, the building has a nice vintage flair to it, and the rooms have been extensively renovated. Clean, cozy. The hotel staff was very kind and nice. Overall a good experience, would definitely come back.

We stayed here spring 2016. Beautiful hotel with nice staff. We ate breakfast on the porch with a great view of the river valley and flowers blooming below. Breakfast was delicious and the beds were comfortable. We didn't get to use the pool because we checked in too late, but it looked nice.

This hotel looks nice on the website but in a very poor area of Bad Ems. The approach road to the hotel had an abandoned fridge and settee, not a nice introduction. …

Hotel has a good location very near to small town Bad Ems. Good and wide parking area. There is no restaurant in the hotel but there are a variety of restaurants across the Lahn River. …

It is ok, clean, fairly nice rooms and views but it also needs an upgrade outside and inside. Location is good, parking small but ok and overall its a good choice when visiting BadEms. We had a nice room with a modern bathroom so we were happy.

I can't understand the negative reviews. It is true that the hotel is getting old and seems a bit run down. But the rooms are great, we received a friendly welcome at reception and good advice, the breakfast was really okay. All important points in Bad Ems can be reached on foot.Because of the unbeatable price-performance ratio, I give it 5 points.
