Adam and Annett are the most wonderful hosts! They are very knowledgeable, inviting, attentive and incredibly helpful. You will have fascinating conversations with them over homemade tea by a tea master himself! They hosted our group of 21 travelers so well, transforming the Kerkermeister into a classroom, study space, lecture hall, and movie theater! They took us on engaging tours to amazing cites, and to all the best Christmas markets around the area!It has a homey, warm, and cozy vibe, yet it feels like you are also stepping into different corners of the world because of the uniquely decorated guest rooms that each represent a different culture! The downstairs dining space and travel lounge are perfect spots for homemade meals, studying/working, conversing with strangers, and even movie and game nights!It is located in the heart of quaint little Auerbach; you can stroll the lovely streets and stop by the various shops, restaurants, and cafes! The bus and train system nearby makes it convenient to travel to other towns as well!Had the best time with my fellow classmates when we stayed in November of 2023, as we got to explore all over East Germany, and have a beautiful home to return to after our adventures!Highly recommend you stay at the Kerkermeister, a travel experience like no other!

Absolutely lovely experience in a historic building. The rooms are beautiful, and home-cooked breakfast with the hosts was even better. They are kind and helpful (even when I locked myself out of my room!). Plus the breakfast space is an inviting community area, perfect for getting work done or spending time with other people. Highly recommend!

What a delightful place to stay. Annett and Adam have both been given the gift of hospitality. Super attention to details in our bedroom and throughout the common areas. Their history as travellers means there are many small touches which come together to make the stay perfect - things like charging plugs on both sides of the bed, for example, and comfortable chairs in the room for those times when you don't really want or need to head out. They also have a range of books and boardgames if you are stuck in because of the weather.The themed rooms are lovely and inspired - we stayed in the Asia room, but also caught a glimpse of other rooms, too.All the comforts you would expect at this level, plus more. Great breakfast, wonderful conversations, superb location in Auerbach, engaging decor.Five stars.

We were in your guesthouse from August 9th to 11th, we were 100 percent satisfied. Thanks to the owners, they are very, very friendly and the rooms and breakfast were great. The jailerI would recommend it 100 percent and we will definitely come back. Thanks again

We were there over the weekend.We received a very warm welcome and the rooms are very tastefully and individually furnished.The breakfast left nothing to be desired, it was prepared very lovingly.We felt very comfortable, you can tell that the owners put their whole hearts into it without seeming intrusive.Lovely again.

In August the two of us stayed in the "Africa" room for a long weekend. The accommodation was so lovingly decorated and extremely pleasant. Thanks to the facilities you will definitely be happy there. The owners of the guesthouse are very helpful and obviously have a gift for hospitality. You shouldn't miss breakfast ;)The accommodation is without a doubt recommended!

We received a very friendly welcome and the friendliness continued throughout our entire stay. The breakfast was very good and allergies were also taken into account. The room was very clean and inviting. The only point is that there was no TV, although that's a good thing. We can recommend this accommodation to anyone who wants to relax a bit. We'll definitely be happy to come back.
