The last time we saw this house was in the hotel. The high rating is justified by the central location of the hotel. Rooms are very cramped and only furnished with the bare essentials. Sausage and rolls at breakfast are limited and you are told at check-in that all special requests will of course be charged extra. Please note that only German EC cards are accepted. We arrived back at the hotel on Friday at 8.55 p.m. and didn't receive a final drink with the comment Have you looked at the clock, we close at 9 p.m.?Not very customer friendly

Had lunch again today with 6 men. Small but nice menu, the vegetarian menu was again a dream and, as always, delicious 😋 . Three types of pumpkin (see photo) are also a revelation in terms of taste.Price performance TOP!!!! No sign of a VAT increase. Not to forget, thanks to the friendly service. Looking forward to the next time.

We only came to eat. I have never eaten veal liver as delicious as here. Service was fantastic. Even though the dish we wanted wasn't on the menu, it was made possible. Thanks to the great cook and the customer-friendly service staff.I am thrilled with this restaurant.

Great and very clean rooms with a cozy atmosphere. Small, changing restaurant menu with incredibly good food in a mix of home cooking and original dishes. Lovingly and generously laid breakfast table. Overall, a great stay with optimal price-performance ratio and very friendly staff!

GDR flair. Double room very clean. The double bed has a huge “visitor crack” that creates a gap between those who want to cuddle. The room is quite uncomfortable and can be compared to a mechanic's accommodation. There are 2 glasses available but the drink is missing. The "TV" is the size of a writing pad. The washroom was clean but unworthy of a hotel. Such cabins are ideally installed on ships for staff. For 2 nights in a double room 200€? Admittedly, after the first night we ate breakfast. The charge was 7.50 per person. Instead there was filter coffee from the pot, fresh rolls from the bakery, one boiled egg per person and jam and sausage from the supermarket. Well, we saved ourselves breakfast for the second morning. Suitable for overnight accommodation, but the price-performance ratio is not good. We definitely won't be coming back. By the way. You can bring your dog and, which I will never understand, they charge extra. However, the dog is not allowed on the beer garden lawn. Oh well. Anyone who wants to should try it out. The hotel benefits from the fact that this is the only accommodation option in the city.

On the occasion of a birthday we visited the Hotel Grüner Baum restaurant. We ate a' la carte. I'll get to the point: the food was fresh, beautifully presented and very tasty.

We had guests staying here several times or tried to reserve a table as a group. Our conclusion:The food itself is perfect! Absolutely fresh, delicious, modern. Unique in the region. The drinks, like lemonades, are homemade, creative and delicious.The service was so unfriendly that you felt guilty about being there. Additional services such as tea or a spontaneous breakfast for the overnight guest were rejected; Guests who came to reserve a table (we were the only ones in the room) were met with swearing, eye rolling and accusations. That's not how you treat guests! After a clear pronunciation, the teeth were gritted.With friendlier and more flexible service, this restaurant would be recommended.

A very good hotel and it was also possible to bring our dog with us if we booked in advance.Our room was very spacious and the bed was really comfortable. The shower is a bit cramped but okay.Breakfast and dinner were prepared with ingredients and products from the Pfauenhof.It was a very nice stay.

That was an experience that we would have liked to have saved ourselves.We were received in a very unfriendly manner. (during the conversation around breakfast time we even threw our heads back and rolled our eyes) It was clear that we were actually unwanted for the first overnight stay. The room was dirty. At least 5 species of spiders populated the twin room, almost 10 smaller flies emerged from the toilet when the lid was opened for the first time, the television was not activated and the remote control contained a leaking battery and the television could not be operated at all without the remote control. When we asked for exchange material, we were told that other guests in the restaurant would now have priority. The whole thing was very harsh and unfriendly. After quite some time, over an hour later, there was a knock on the room door and we were handed another remote control that only worked when it wanted to.The windows and curtains were dirty, the bed smelled like it hadn't been used for a long time without ventilation.The best thing about breakfast was the egg and the homemade jam.If I had booked through a booking portal, I would have taken advantage of the free cancellation and we would have stayed somewhere else.Never again. Absolutely not recommended as a hotel.Unfortunately we cannot judge the restaurant because it was occupied by a party.
