I'll spare describing the perfection in rooms, service, location, as they can be read in other comments.I'd like to point out an important subcategory of "service": flexibility. This Boutique hotel is made for 2-3 nights, for a couple (maybe +1 kid), who travel in the city center. We were all BUT that: 2 kids, for a whole week, quite a few day trips to the coast. This means we had need to prepare sandwiches for the kids for the day, sometimes the kids were too tired to go for dinner after shower, and just wanted something to eat in the place, + we had some work on the workdays.Maybe we should have taken an apartment ?Well, maybe, but Kathrin, the owner, made absolutely sure to flex to all those needs despite our somewhat different travel style needs. And this isn't something easy to do in a long stay in carefully and tastefully decorated, elegant, and quiet hotel.Well she did, and made sure we still feel very welcome, "not a big deal", all week long. She and her husband (who designed and built the place) are as passionate professionals as it gets.

Wonderful place to stay, you feel very welcome. We got a recommendation for a fantastic restaurant and the morning after they served freshly baked bread and croissants for breakfast that was topnotch!

Fantastic place! Friendly and helpful host, great homely and healthy breakfast (served until 11 -perfect!), clean, quite, spacious, nice homely design. Location is perfect -close to everything but still tucked away from the busy streets. Room (no. 5, suite) is large - perfect for 3. Separate bedroom and living area with extra sleeping arrangement, separate toilet and shower is very practical. Checkout by 12 is very helpful.HIGHLY recommended! Will be back!

This was an awesome place with a fantastic host. Katrine was just the right mix of available and helpful and also let you do your own thing and explore/get lost if you want. …

Great place to stay in Lübeck, right in the heart of Lübeck's old town. The house is new, but picks up historic features of the house that stood there, originally. The B&B's interiors are very modern and reduced. E.g., flow concrete is used in the bathroom, design elements are present but reserved. I especially liked the hanging gardens in the lobby/breakfast area. The room itself was facing the street. Having the windows opened, you will have some street noice like passing cars or church bells. They do have other rooms facing the backyard. The bed was very comfortable, two choices of cushions, good mattress. Bathroom contained a spacious walk-in shower. At the time of our stay, they were still in the process of finishing details like adding a sound system to the breakfast area, or nurturing for the garden.

A modern, sleek, luxury esc BnB with an apartment feel to it, all with at a fantastic price.I stayed here for business purposes, attending a conference in Hamburg. A short 40minute train journey and 15minute walk to the station, the Layhead is perfectly located to get you away from the city and explore a beautiful German town. The room was extremely roomy, with seating area, walk in shower, seperate toilet and comfy bed. (I had a queen room for reference.Wi-fi was more than good enough to do some work in a morning before a brilliantly simple, tasty breakfast. The host was fantastic and welcoming, catering for our unique situation of work collegues arriving a day later, late at night. The price was brilliant (compared to what you would get in Hamburg), defintely worth a stay!
