We chose Hotel Jensen for its location and price, and it was so much more: prompt, professional, friendly staff, and the best breakfast facilities and service we could ask for. Plus an excellent restaurant for lunch and/or dinner. The breakfast matron provided us an outstanding package of food for our early-morning departure.

A casual hotel that’s no too ‘touristy’ in the sense that it’s not very large and is rather gemütlich even though it’s not a small family hotel anymore. The average size is perfect for a place like Lübeck. Our (family) room was nice and large enough for the three of us. The second bedroom is a good feature. Perhaps the only thing we really didn’t like about our room was that it was rather hot; no aircon.Separate toilet and a bathroom were functional.Breakfast was served in the dining area on the ground floor. The choice of bread, yoghurt and cereals was quite adequate, and the friendly staff did everything they could to make it a great experience.Downsides: if there’s fish on the menu for dinner, expect the hallways of the hotel to smell of fish. Sometimes even lingering in the morning.Oh, parking arrangement is good with a row of private parking spots in a nearby parking garage on a five minute walk from the hotel.

Fantastic stay - front desk is VERY accommodating in a very non-German way … parking is a bit rough, but the view makes up for that. The breakfast, as with pretty much any German hotel breakfast, is outstanding. Shower is SUPER slippery - careful!

Hotel is located in central location with a beautiful view to a Gate and river. Was mentioned in a documents( and became a hotel soon after) before Columbus discovered America. How cool :). Rooms are cosy and simple. Service is very welcoming and attentive. No problem with parking or finding place to eat.

This is a 3-star hotel which has all features you need. The location in the Old Town by the water is superb. Then you meet their wonderful staff which serves the customer like this was a luxury hotel and the 3-star rating changes.Natalya S earns the last star by cleaning a table for us high speed so we can sit down and have breakfast. This hotel comes highly recommended.

This hotel was better than we expected. Location can't be beat, right by the entrance to the city in one of the oldest buildings in Lubeck and as such, easy to find. Hotel provides free parking in a garage on the other side of the canal, also easy to find. Room was comfortable and large, breakfast buffet was good, room was quiet (we faced out the back). Decor was more German and quite inviting. Not all staff speak English. We stayed 4 days and really liked the hotel ambiance and location.

Warm & friendly hotel, perfect for two simple persons from a smaller Swedish town. Nothing too fancy or "grand". Excellent view, location and very tasty breakfast. Pleasant personal. One downside is that you have to ask for a wifi-password for each person and it will only work one day at the time.Beware of relentless parking controllants if you park your car outside while checking in!The parking house is a few minutes away, but very accessible, relatively cheap and feels very secure!
