For all my foreign friends, who like me, had zero experience in German spas, you should know a few relevant points:-textile free means naked. That means everyone’s naked in the pools and saunas. So expect to see a lot of sausages and papayas.-you’ll feel weird for the first few minutes, but then you’ll understand why these spas are so popular here. This place is charming. I could write ten pages about how nice it is, but just trust me and go.

Some tips for you:1. It’s better to book the entrance ticket beforehand(3.5€ ppl) on weekends.2. There’s a camera at the wardrobe, if you don’t want your naked body to be taken, there’s a small change room.3. The Asian dishes are not good, frankly speaking, really weird, try some burgers sandwiches etc western dishes.4. Try their cakes, they are really tasty and the price is fair (3.5€ I remember?)

The hotel room is lovely and comfortable. Most important, though, is the proximity to the wonderful spa. By staying overnight you can easily enjoy the evening saunas, including the late night dream sauna. Heavenly. Breakfast is included and is a feast.

Love visiting this spa. There are many different saunas and rooms to visit. I absolutely love the cold plunge as well. Everything about this place is relaxing. I wish there was a more direct public transportation from the city, but it is so worth the trip out.Bring a book and just relax!

We visited the Vabali Star for the first time yesterday. It's a great resort for relaxing and the staff is very friendly. You do not need to bring anything but can rent towels, bathrobes and slippers there. The check in is very easy, you'll get a wristband for payments while you're there and at the end you will scan your wristband and pay everything at once. Very convenient. The spa is a digital detox place, so you'll leave your mobile in the locker and off you go. The audience is very well mixed and it's easy to just blend in and forget about your own nudity quickly.Everything is designed carefully, there are plenty of saunas from 45°C to 90°C and frequent infusions in different saunas.I loved the amount of relax spaces and rooms with lots of armchairs, couches, sun loungers and even water beds in many of them. The food tastes great and the price is more than fair for such a place. And if you fancy a vegetarian or vegan diet, you'll not be disappointed too.I've been very hyped for the natural pool and to be fair, it looks amazing. Sadly the stairs were very slippery at the morning and I almost fell. The moment I wanted to turn around and warn my partner, he already fell. I was shocked and worried but he assured me that he landed "only" on his butt which would hurt like hell but everything else was fine.We decided to go on with the relaxing and chilling but the bruise he got looks pretty badly and this day he still is in pain. When we tried the natural pool in the evening again the stairs had been cleaned. So this seems to be a known issue?! And I wonder why wasn't there a warning sign for using the stairs earlier that day? This accident would have been avoidable for sure.I'm very lucky to have such a sturdy partner and that he fell without hitting his head.We will visit again for sure but for the future I wish for safety improvement in that matter. Until then I can only rate with three stars because these stairs are dangerous.

There is no reference at all on the website that it is mandatory to be naked in the swimming area. In the „Hausregeln“ everything is described with precision and too much details. Yet, they forget to mention that also the swimming area must be entered fully naked. Ironically, you can’t be naked in the restaurant, which is also inside the pool and sauna area. This is where they draw the line based on their philosophy. Since it is not nice to see private parts during dinner but acceptable for anyone else when you would like to swim or exercise. Could have saved me the 2 hours trip with a clear description in the „Hausregeln“.

The price of the hotel and spa does absolutely not fit. Its VERY dark indoor and not cosy, more spooky. The spa are tooo big = almost no People in the sauna areas which made it feel like a lonely place. The food was good. The staff mostly polite but its SUPER expensive and not worth The Monty. When we hade payed The very expensive night they Even asked for EXTRA Money for minimum 20euro extra(tips) This made my mood really bad cause we allready payed a lot. If The price was about half i would give maybe 3 stars instead of 2. In the future i choose holstentherme instead where The price and the value for the money are much better.

The sauna infusions are amazing. The triangle that I tend to do is (1) sauna infusion (about 12ish) (2) cold plunge 2-3min (3) go back inside to the waterbeds. And let me tell you. When you lie down on the water bed, cover yourself with a blanket and close your eyes. The amount of endorphins that are being released are …. WowAdditionally they make it very easy for you to enter and pay when you leaveYou don’t need to bother with purchasing a package or anything. You receive an armband on arrival and the time ends when you leave. You when pay for less than 2 hrs , less than 4 hrs or a day pass.Maybe it can be good to reserve a slot when going on weekends or holidays - it can get quite full

I have visited Vabali in Berlin and Dusseldorf before, and this weekend I checked out Vabali Hamburg. What can I say? Everything is excellent – an amazing place and sauna ceremonies. It's worth visiting Hamburg just to spend the entire day at Vabali. The staff is very polite, the place is exceptionally clean, and the pools and saunas are perfect. The atmosphere can't be described by words; you need to go and experience it.
