This was a spontaneous stop, that turned out to be a place I will definitely visit again! I brought my dog and they really are dog friendly. Plus the nature is incredible, went running with the dog and he was incredibly happy to be in the forest. The rooms were great!! Nice, cozy and clean plus very good bathroom which I find important! The staff was very accommodating and friendly. I have not one single complaint and I will be back with my dog soon!

The pulled wild boar burger was very delicious. True to its fame! The service was excellent. Best I’ve experienced so far in my 3 years staying in Germany. 5 thumbs up! Totally recommend anyone who wants some good food, fantastic nature and a touch of good service!

Came here by coincidence - and we love it! In the middle of the forest lies this beautiful place. We stayed in one of the newly made rooms in one of three small cottages. Very charming and informally decorated, but with attention to detail and design.Dinner was very good. Served in the restaurant in the historic main house. Everywhere you feel the connection to the surrounding forest, both in the food and the interior. The staff was absolutely perfect and attentive.We’ll be back for sure ❤️

Highly recommended - everything from the food to the service is top-notch! I came here with my family to celebrate my mother's birthday. We loved the cosy, rustic atmosphere. We each ordered different starters and mains and all were delicious! Each dish was beautifully presented and the portions were very generous (I took home half my dinner in a takeaway box!). Our host was absolutely wonderful - he was very meticulous and humorous, and even arranged a special birthday dessert for my mother. I was very impressed by the attention to detail in every part of our experience here, and highly commend the Forsthaus team for this. We had such a lovely evening and would love to return in the future!

We loved this warm, fun and cosy sanctuary in the forest. The decoration is classy, contemporary and comfortable - not the usual pretentious & gimmicky feel that so often comes with contemporary design. The staff make you feel welcome and look after you with care but are not overbearing. The food is great. Modern classics with quality ingredients cooked well. We will definitely be back. Great place for a day out in the countryside.

Good coffee and cakes, and the atmosphere is super. Yet when we were asking for just some tap water to refill our cycling bottle, the waitress said we have to pay and refused to acknowledge her colleague's existing agreement. Sehr Schade.

The former boxing training facility of Max Schmeling is now a really cool restaurant. The family brunch is the highlight. Surrounded by beautiful forest. Great for a stop during a hike.
