This is for the Americans who might consider visiting: this isn't like an American lake at all. It's like Disney land without the rides. Thousands of people and tons of rules. The beach is a separate business which doesn't allow dogs at all and has separate fees. It's also about 3/4 of a mile from the tent camping.e2 W2We wanted to get out into nature where it's quite and BBQ. This isn't the place at all.

Ugly old place. Lots of rules, like cannot enter between the hours of 13-15...crazyness. Didn't even stay, felt funny and unsafe. Very large camping ground..... would not recommend. Zero atmosphere.

A camping site with different faces. Sections for fixed guests, places for transit guests with campers or caravans and guests with tents. The camping is divided into a north and south part. And subdivided into streets with their own names. The north part is terraced for tents. The southern part is mainly fixed places and campers/caravans. There is a small field for tents (tall der buffels) where we got a spot for our tent. The sanitaire was accessed only by a special card. I found this very cumbersome. Both kids lost a card which had a deposit of €10 each. Besides, one of the cards opened the gate at the front for the car. Thankfully one card was found and returned to the reception. The sanitaire is kept clean quite well.During our visit it was, on the weekend, very busy and somewhat chaotic. No fixed places, music, young kids running loud till midnight. Sunday afternoon most left. It felt like a youth camping, a feel we didn't come for.The WiFi was in our spot rather marginally. The surroundings are nice with plenty of activity possible. Shops are a 15min drive away.

Great camp ground beside a fantastic lake. Our first time here and definitely not our last. We usually tent but this time we rented a caravan from the camping Platz and it was fantastic, however unfortunately the caravan was always shaded and we got no direct Autumn sunlight. The employee Robert was always friendly, helpful and happy to chat despite being very busy. He had a constant smile and was always cheerful with all guests and made everyone feel very welcome. There are alot of permanent set ups and all the residents we met were all super friendly. Plenty of space for kids to run around, great varietyof playgrounds, super greek restaurant on site, and plenty of trees that you feel you are wild camping. Just note that the barrier is closed from 1 to 3 pm so best to arrive outside this time to be able to drive directly to your rented site.

We stayed at campingplatz Bostalsee for a week over Easter. We had beautiful weather although they'd had a lot of rain before we arrived so the pitch we had booked was too wet to stay on but the alternative pitch was fine. …

Wanted to check out at 4.00 during ADAC Rallye, but reception opens at 8. Bad opening times in general. No extra employeers during the rally week. You are not allowed to park your car next to the tent, despite you've paid for the lot! Unfriendly nightguards with torch! Got tentlot on stones. Key required to use electricity. Transponder needed to come out. Hard to communicate with staff if you're not German. The camping really should be a lot more flexible during a World Rally event!Big plus for toilet/shower, restaurant and very close to the rally service park.

We stayed here on two occasions, two nights as stop off on way to Freiburg. Ideal length of run from port of Rotterdam.  …

Okay, I don't know where to start.---This review is based during ADAC Rallye Deutschland!!----Negative-- No car parking on camplot, why? "This is not a parking place!"? Instead park 200 meters away, in the forest on an uneven ground. Car parking on lot should be allowed, there's enough of space for it and no fire risk.- We got a tent lot on stones, which made the surface rough and it hurt to stand there without shoes.- Bad reception opening times during ADAC Rallye Deutschland, the stages start sometimes before 8 and check out earlier than 8 is impossible due to bad opening times (8-20)- Transponder to get in -AND- out, which makes check out the day before impossible- Electricity is locked in a locker, janitor required to unlock locker, which makes check out before 8 impossible (janitor start work at 8).- Language barriers, simple English works, but you can't have any discussions.- No information in English on the booking documents.Positive-- Good restaurant nearby-Good facilities, easy-accessable despite surface level changes.

We had a bunch of people and made it great... Otherwise you're talking about a camp ground spot about the size of your driveway so be ready to listen to the guy next to you snore all night, which might be me haha.

On a hot summer week end, this is a great place to cool off, ride a paddle boat, chill at one of the many biergarten, lay on the beach, swim, rest under a tree in the park, eat a hot dog in the open air food court, watch street performers... you name it!
