we came for dinner and by arrival we were told the kitchen was closed, even though we called and made a reservation. We still could sit which was nice of the staff but we felt rushed. We noticed it in the food as well, plates that were served quickly and attention to detail wasn’t spared. All in all it felt a bit unwelcome, however: the location is absolutely gorgeous and felt really romantic.

Chose this hotel because of its good reviews and we were not disappointed. Saarburg is a beautiful town and the hotel is right in the centre. …

We spent a couple of nights here and enjoyed the hotel and the town very much. It is a family-run hotel and the proprietors and staff were very welcoming. …

We stayed here for just one night before a cycling trip down the Saar and Moselle rivers, and cannot speak highly enough of the friendly service we received. We had booked in advance.....but for the wrong month! …

We stayed for one night in this family hotel. The owner personally came to greet us and help us park our car in front of the hotel. We actually could choose in between two available rooms. Dinner was excellent in the 'Gaststube'. …

We stayed at this hotel during a long weekend, so were lucky to get the last room, which was quite small but adequate (quite expensive, we thought). A complimentary bowl of fruit and biscuits was a nice touch after a long drive. …

Hotel is excellent, food excellent, hosts excellent. We booked 4 nights, stayed 8. The area is also excellent for walking and cycling. Cycling is particularly good along the Moselle and Saar rivers with good defined cycle paths.  …

The restaurant prices are rediculously high. Portions small, local wine expensive and definitely avoid the water. In Luxembourg the prices are in many equivalent places lower.
