Clearly stated on the website that check-in after midnight is possible.After a long drive I arrive at around 03:00 and to my surprise the door doesn't open.The provided link worked, but no sound of the door unlocking, nothing.Because of the time there was no way of contacting them by phone, so I sent them a mail and tried to sleep in my fully packed car, which didn't work because some people where getting up to move out at around 04:00.I later got some sleep at a Gas station parking lot.All in all a horrible experience.The day after I got a message saying that their ''technical team'' would contact me. I've heard nothing from them since (more than two weeks from the date I write this review).I tried mailing them every day, but my subsequent mails get blocked.I booked it straight through their website.Location was not hard to find but quite far from the highway where we got off.EDIT:About a week and a half after writing this review, they gave me a full refund, so I will add 2 stars to my initial 1-star service rating.

Excellent value for money. Everything almost new. Quiet neighborhood. Supermarkets nearby. Self check-in only. The door opened by the application. It can be a headache for people who are not familiar with computer stuff. No AC.

Modern room, quiet despite the central location and parking space in front of the room.Great price. Comfortable large beds.Only: The bathroom could have been cleaned better. It's a shame, hence the deduction.We had no problems with the check-in and the door code, but we also carried out the information previously sent.

Room clean, well equipped and smelled very good. Free parking directly in front of the hotel. We never had any problems with the door opening and were very happy with this hotel and this concept. Only the water in the shower could have been warmer 😉

We really liked the accommodation. Modernly furnished. We felt very comfortable. No annoying “room checks” by staff. On a short vacation I don't need daily cleaning and someone to make my bed.As long as the technology works, access is easy. We had no problems and there is a telephone number in case of emergencies.Thank you Wicklein family

I'm thrilled,Initially it didn't openBut after I called someone everything worked!!Rooms are still new, you can smell itTwo days ago in one built in 2018 the beds were softer.So conclusion:Quiet versus large room at a great price!!I would book again

Upon arrival, one room's electricity was not working and another was still dirty from previous tenants. Nice room but unfortunately no reliable door system, as codes to open the door unpredictably don't work and access to the room is only possible by informing the staff.

Self check-in does not work.After contacting me by phone, I obtained the MasterLock code and finally entered the room where there was no electricity. The toilet is dirty as in the photos.The only solution after talking to the hotline is a refund, unfortunately without the possibility of exchanging it for a clean room with access to electricity.

Well... after I had a good experience with this chain in Wunsiedel last summer, I was more than happy to book a room for Gotha too.But... we couldn't even get into the room. The door is opened here via a link and not via a numerical code.And our door wouldn't open. Customer service? None. Not available on weekends. The emergency service? Also not available.So all we had left was a four star hotel for the next night because everything in Gotha was fully booked due to an event.Super annoying. That such a technology can fail is ok... but that no one is available to offer a solution is just outrageous. Converts the doors to numerical codes. At least that works. (Even in the case of a discharged cell phone battery, maybe not so stupid.)I can't even rate the rooms here because we only had the outside view.

There are leftovers from the previous one in the fridge, there is a dirty undershirt in the drawer in the bathroom. My standards aren't high, but that doesn't have to be the case!
