We stayed in a beautiful hotel, it's like a castle with a historical background. Due to the hillside location, almost every room has a great view. We were lovingly looked after by our hosts; every guest is treated like a friend. We felt completely comfortable for ten days.A. and G. Gervers

You can certainly live with shortcomings such as a broken TV, lack of cleaning service and a rather simple breakfast. What is not possible is room temperatures of a maximum of 18 degrees Celsius because the heating is not turned on. Yesterday we only had 15 degrees Celsius in the breakfast room, which has nothing to do with the interest in the well-being of the guests.

The stay was really great. We were in the Schwarzatal for summer vacation. Unfortunately the weather wasn't that summery, but everything else was very good. It's a shame that the hotel is to be sold, as the current owners, like the hotel, are getting on in years. We always had breakfast at Friedrich Ebert's table. He signed the Weimar Constitution here. Simply great.👍

very nicely located at the foot of the castle. The hotel and restaurant have a wonderful view of the valley. When the weather is nice you can eat and drink delicious food on the terrace. The staff is very friendly, the ambience in the wooden hotel is very good, and the “Müllerin Art” trout from local waters was very tasty. Inside there is a large guest room, extra rooms, and you can park almost directly at the property. In the restaurant and hotel you can also pay by card, the prices in the restaurant are cheap, the trout cost 12.80 euros and the large shandy cost 2.80 euros.

First of all, the hotel is a historic building located right next to a castle. Hiking trails in the immediate vicinity in a beautiful landscape. The operators are extremely friendly people and make an effort to run this hotel and restaurant on their own. However, this is exactly where the problem lies. The restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. After the first night my room wasn't cleaned. After the second night there was only a new towel. The room was never vacuumed, the bathroom was never cleaned in a week. Not even the toilet paper was refilled. Unfortunately the heating was never in operation. At night the temperatures dropped below 10 degrees. Unfortunately everything is very careless. There are nails in the walls where a picture once hung. Mold infestation in the bathroom. Breakfast is available from 8:00 a.m. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired and is good. The terrace of the restaurant is nice, but I don't understand why they don't get proper chairs here. The white plastic chairs just seem careless. The operators would get 5 stars from me, but the hotel is not recommended. Too bad.

Hotel Schwarzaburg 🏨, in Schwarzburg on top of the mountain, next to the palace and castle 🏰A beautiful building, 200 years old, old styleRun by a very family-run coupleAll rooms with a view and balcony, very pleasant for 🚬 smokers.The view of the valley/village is incomparable, perhaps comparable to the view of a model railway.This hotel is worth it for this balcony alone.There is a coffee and ice cream bar in front of the house, run by the landlady. 🍵☕ 🎂🍨Large parking lot.Moderate prices.The two bars 100 m away are not recommended, they are usually closed anyway or slam the door in your face at 5 p.m. (sic).
