Would gladly not give a star. Unfortunately, this hotel is not recommended. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by an incredibly musty smell. You can't pay with a card, you need a lot of cash, we were told. We were taken to the room after a long time When you arrive you just go in. What we were offered here was unbelievable. Rooms with carpet, there were huge stains everywhere. It really needs to be renovated urgently. There were big cobwebs in every corner, the smell was also rather musty, it's actually hard to imagine being a guest here Hotel is. You could still see the imprints of glasses on the desk and in the bathroom, the room probably hasn't been cleaned for a long time. It's an outrage for the price. We mentioned it to the owner and there was no trace of hospitality at all. It wasn't offered to us to look at another room or that she cleans the room. We should just leave again.Luckily we found a wonderful guesthouse.

More than disappointing, the price alone is an outrage for what you are offered!!! And please arrive with enough cash, otherwise you will be told straight away where you can withdraw money…Now to the most important thing:As soon as you enter the hotel you are greeted by a “musty” smell. You don't even want to talk about the cleanliness of the room you booked in April. Stained carpet, there are still imprints of the glasses on the desk, cobwebs, a view of a wall about 1.5 m away, in the bathroom there are still “limescale deposits” from the toothbrush cups, you don’t even want to talk about the shower… On the “ Inspection” of the bed was then waived.After my guests raised the problem with the existing “cleanliness” at the reception, they were not exactly politely asked to check out and ended up on the street.This hotel used to be a "showpiece" of the city, but now it has become so "run down" in just two years (the interim ownership changed) that it's really embarrassing that you tried to accommodate your family there.

Unfortunately the visit was not very promising. First we got a room with water damage, then we didn't get any breakfast. Apparently there was no one else in the hotel apart from us.

Within four months we stayed at the Hotel Goldener Löwe three times for three to four days for personal reasons.We were welcomed very friendly and courteously by Ms. Altmann.Even our unusual wishes were fulfilled as quickly as possible. Thank you very much for that!The rooms are clean and the breakfast is very varied. There are homemade rolls and bread.I think you should know that it's best to book the hotel via the "Bed and Breakfest" homepage in Zeulenroda.The tenants must be supported by the guests so that the hotel comes back to life and has a future.We wish Ms. Altmann and her partner all the best. A nightmare, unfriendly and unprofessional from the start. Even the email contact until booking was strange. The arrival, it couldn't be worse and the landlord or whoever was more than creepy. It's better to stop wasting your money and time there.One point was positive, we immediately agreed not to spend the night there. Found another very nice hotel straight awayIf you could give 0 points, they would be appropriate.

The room was neat and clean. However, with a very musty smell. Overall, my stay was limited to the use of the bed, but sleep was disturbed both nights/mornings by my roommates, who could be heard loudly and clearly - I could even hear the person on the phone.The lady at the reception was very nice and immediately solution-oriented when I announced that I might not be able to arrive in the check-in time.I didn't try the breakfast. Overall, I wouldn't come back, but it could have been bad luck!

Homemade rolls for breakfast. In some time it will probably... be the first house in town again. The potential is there. Only the access is not suitable for disabled people. Otherwise the selection of accommodation in Zeulenroda is very limited.
