Absolute fantastic place to eat!I came to eat here by accident (because the supposedly open restaurant at the castle wasnt open). And I am so glad I did!!!Friendly and helpful staff, extremely delicious food (I had deer steak from a local source), and clean and modern toilets (the last is critical for me though i appreciate not everyone puts such an emphasis on this).And the value for money ratio is unbeatable in my view, especially considering the quality you get. Plus, everything around the food, I.e. environment, just fits!I have eaten in 5star (kitchen) restaurants where the food was nowhere near as good and the price was 3 or more times.Sadly, I am not that often near this village. But I will make sure to pop in for a wee bite when I am from now on.

Very stylishly furnished, beautiful half-timbering, cozy and inviting. Very clean. Breakfast buffet sufficient, friendly service staff. Due to a lack of staff, no restaurant. Very good restaurant 200m away. Reservation there is an advantage.

A half-timbered house inside and out. Decorated accordingly inside. There is a large parking lot in front of the house on the main street side. Everything was clean. My room was beautifully decorated in a country house style. The interaction is friendly with each other. The location is good, I had no noise disturbance. The hotel was fully booked when I requested. A room became available at a later date. I was informed about this straight away. Super. Gladly again.

Terrible restaurant and bar closed but not signposted. No reception, you get a code and with that you can enter where the key is.After requesting by email, we were given a room as low as possible. We had a room in the ridge, 36 degrees and no air conditioning or anything. Horrible. We didn't even stay.

There were three of us (including the dog) who were here relatively spontaneously over New Year's Eve.The communication beforehand was great!When we got there, we were immediately impressed by the house. From the dining room of the restaurant and our room. This has been renovated with a sure hand, beautifully and well. (and even down to the one table in the restaurant, which has been adjusted on one side to exactly the angle where it stands.. Although it wouldn't have been necessary to be able to sit at it.. Yes. I like that kind of thing simply)It's very cozy. We were treated warmly and friendly at all times. The cuisine is an absolute delight. Go there and switch off👌And since there isn't too much room for improvement, we'll check after a while to see whether the bar is kept where it is😊 we're looking forward to it.

The hotel looks pretty neglected from the outside. We were there about 3 years ago and it was still very discreet. Now it just looks unkempt. Dirty inside and out and the flowers are all dried up. Very unfortunate.

Family-run hotel where you feel comfortable even for longer periods of time. The regional cuisine on offer is tasty and represents a good price-performance ratio. The setvice leaves nothing to be desired. The surrounding area is perfect for hiking and cycling tours and Oberhof is not far for winter sports enthusiasts.We'll definitely come back.

I have rarely eaten so well. You can tell who knows something about their job and can put it into practice. If you complain about the price given all the high-quality ingredients and the very tasteful interior, you should rather go to the system catering establishment. Keep it up.

We recently attended a family celebration with 26 people at the "Frankenberger" and felt extremely comfortable. From the professional planning to the pleasant atmosphere, the friendly service and especially the excellent cuisine - everything was perfect! Thank you again and see you next time!
