House was woodsy and comfortable for a brief three day stay, Location is good as well for visiting nearby towns so giving 2 stars. Unfortunately had an incredibly unpleasant interaction with the host’s pets, when we were chilling in the courtyard and the host invited me to pet their cat (the old gray one). Cat initially was friendly but scratched me quickly after 2-3 pets on the head. Claws were razor sharp, and asking the host she said she didn’t believe in clipping them; resulted in hives immediately after and a latent cat allergy acting up for 2 months after the trip when we returned to the states. They have a several cats inside + outside and a dog around: this might not be a problem for most people, but be aware if you’re sensitive to animals. To top it off, the husband chuckled about the uncomfortable situation and joked I should’ve probably stopped after 1 pet next time 🙃 perhaps a German humor/culture thing, but was awkward and dismissive at the time nonetheless.

Lovely place, relaxing atmosphere, with a lot of green pants witch I love, the host is very friendly and the room is clean. Too bad we couldn't have breakfast because the kitchen is closed due to covid-19 restrictions but hopefully we will come back and we will enjoy the beautiful garden and try the delicious menu!

Extremely kind and helpful people. We were stranded with the car at the gast station in Wörnitz, it was a fridaynight and we were on our way to Munich. We were there in the hot sun in 35 degrees celcius for 6 hours calling with our insurance company, who couldn't get our car fixed until the next Monday. So you can imagine how happy we were with the room at the Apfelstern. Sabine, the host even helped us with getting our car fixed, because she knew the mechanic down the road! She called him for us and the next day he fixed out car on a Saturday! Also the breakfast was delicious and healthy! Would recoomend 10/10!

A real gem. Unfortunately only in transit for one night. The rooms are very tastefully furnished and the entire old rectory has been lovingly decorated. There are three rooms in the rental. You are well protected by three watchful and loving animals. The classic breakfast tasted delicious. The price is completely okay. We'd love to come back again.

The guesthouse is located in a pretty, lovingly designed half-timbered house right next to the church. This immediately gives you a holiday feeling.There is also a pizzeria opposite and 2 supermarkets are not far away.The holiday apartment is beautifully and comfortably furnished, very spacious and equipped with everything you need for your stay.From every window you have a view of the greenery, especially of the romantic garden with the nice seating areas.Unfortunately we didn't have the opportunity to order breakfast, but the menu offers a wide selection, even including specialties such as homemade kimchi and shakshuka.The owner gave us a friendly welcome and was happy to answer any questions.As an animal hair allergy sufferer, I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the house, especially the holiday apartment, as I had no problems whatsoever despite having 3 dogs and a cat in the house.We'll definitely be happy to come back!

Unfortunately not for us. You should be very, very animal-friendly so that you don't mind having 3 dogs and several cats roaming around the house/garden. As a "welcome", there is information about where the area for the animals is and you shouldn't move. The garden is the dogs’ territory. There is no parking space for guests. We had to walk around the house with our luggage. DiY style renovations in and around the house. The entrance area therefore looks unkempt. Not suitable for disabled people. We didn't feel welcome.

Nice accommodation. Poorly maintained common spaces. Entrance with garden full of foliage, to cover the same name sign. So much so that we went around several times to look for it and only reached it following telephone directions. Courteous host, who welcomed us politely. Ground floor room, with little privacy for anyone passing by, it was necessary to keep them in the room even in full daylight with blackout curtains. Comfortable room, comfortable bed. Useful and sober bathroom for what can be used. Excellent cleanliness and linen.

Great hotel. Really incredibly lovingly designed. Very friendly operator. Great breakfast. Really fantastic.small points of improvement:* Bed was a bit slouchy* Towels didn't smell completely fresh, but were clearly freshly washed.* Breakfast at 8 is a bit late. Half past eight would be better. :) But I was also allowed to have breakfast a little earlier. So everything is great.
