The hotel, food location and services were great! I can recommend it for a spa weekend. The massage was good and the spa facilities as well as pool areas were dreamy. Definitely get a steak while dining in the restaurant. I was just puzzeld by the first question we got when arrived, which was are you sure you are in the right place? As a foreigner was bit unfriendly, but the rest of our stay was great.

Me and the hubby came here to celebrate our 13 year anniversary at the spa then dinner. We found this place when dinning at the their restaurant located in Dinklbuhl and we also went to Rothenburg. Both great experiences with food, atmosphere and service! So we had to try the spa!Spa was so relaxing so many nice beds to lay and relax in.We also got massages. For dinner I got flammkuchen and my husband had the lamb chops. Both very delicious. The atmosphere was so romantic with the piano playing and the lights, the decorations. We had great service from the minute we walked in. I will definitely be coming back! And will be visiting the other chain restaurants.

We booked this hotel for 2 nights (Thu-Sat).They did not communicate anywhere that they are having construction on site, right by the pool! On our first morning, the workers woke us up at 7 in the morning! …

The rooms are pretty nice and the public areas are decorated in a very high end classy way. The pool and downstairs area is very nice and luxurious. The breakfast buffet was really good and the waitstaff was in their game! The desk staff and dinner waitstaff were a bit “off” and the one elevator was blocked often by housekeeping carts and staff- what a pain in the butt that was.

We stayed for 2 nights in August in a comfort room with balcony. The positives:Room & hotelThe hotel as a whole is beautiful. Our room was really nice and so spacious. We had plenty of room for the travel bed for our 8-month-old daughter.Spa & poolThe pool is really nice, we especially liked the fact that it is heated and the outside connects to the inside part.FoodAmazing breakfast buffet. Tea and coffee in the afternoon was wonderful as well and the a la carte menu has something for everyone.Room for improvement:The curtainsBlackout curtains would be great. Not just for my baby that went to bed while it was still light out, but also for us so the sun wouldn't wake us up at 6:00 in the morning. They weren't even long enough to overlap a tiny bit and sunlight would come through at the sides and in the middle. The wait staffThe first day we went to have a drink before dinner and were sat on the outside terrace. We waited for about 15 minutes before I got up again to go ask if we could order. Some might say you are on vacation and have time but we have an 8-month-old baby with us and don't want to spend a whole lot of time just sitting around waiting. And by the time we wanted to settle the bill I had to go look for someone again because no one would come by (no chance of ordering a second drink in a timely manner either). On the second day we tried having a drink again. This time we were sat inside due to some rainy weather. I was able to order the drinks pretty quickly but was not impressed with the results. I ordered a Gin & Tonic, a Bombay Bramble that said it would come with frozen berries. When the drink arrived, it was a clear liquid with a lemon slice in it. I said that I had ordered a Bombay Bramble with frozen berries. The waitress then informed me that whatever is written on the drinks menu is more of a suggestion and if I don't mention something specifically it will always be served with a lemon. This made no sense to me because the menu was written in a way that suggested that these were the ingredients of the drink. The second time I was served the gin and tonic it was a reddish liquid with fresh berries in it. So my husband and I enjoyed our drinks, then he took our daughter upstairs for a nap. After a good 10 minutes after finishing our drinks no one had even looked in our direction so I went to find someone to get the check. After another 15 minutes of waiting I still hadn't gotten the check and I had to go find someone again to ask AGAIN to please pay for our drinks. I tried to explain to the wait staff that I have been waiting for quite a long time but was brushed off and talked over. That same day we had dinner reservations for 18:00. The food was amazing, but the dinner itself took almost 75 minutes, even though the both of us had only ordered a main course (with a small salad as an appetizer) and a drink.Again, having a baby with a strict bed time didn't help but 75 minutes is a long time. The wait staff definitely need to step up their game.RobesThis being a wellness hotel where people frequently use robes, I expected a place to hang our robes so they could dry (somewhere else than in the closet) but there wasn't anything for that. So we put them out on the balcony which only really works when the weather is nice and sunny.

We arrived at the hotel at around 11am, knowing check-in was only 3pm. We were hoping to have a relaxing day around the pool, as we had been travelling around Bavaria. …

We booked two nights as a spa break / friends reunion. This hotel has a potential but needs a lot of improvement. Beginning with service and food. I have a lot of questions to the management. It is quite obvious, that you don’t have enough staff for the amount of guests. There are a few professional people who run everywhere trying to serve people in the restaurant, bar and also in spa area. They are stressed but trying hard. The rest of the staff are not trained and seem to be super confused. Reception was supposed to be occupied till 10pm but nobody answered already at 9:50 pm.The food does not in any way fit to the price we paid for the room. Breakfast was not bad but lunch was very poor and dinner disappointing because you wait 20 minutes to be finally seated (with reservation) and the service is super slow. The package we have booked promised us 4 COURSE menu, instead it was 1 main course served and the rest - serve yourself. There were not enough deserts left to choose after we ate main dish so we had to share one…Spa area needs another toilette ( there is only one) and generally more space and restaurant needs at least one more coffee machine at breakfast.POSITIVE:The hotel was nicely decorated in Christmas theme and our room (suite) was very spacious and modern. it would have been nice to have a complementary bottle of water and a tea/ coffee maker in the room. There is a beautiful forest and walking options around the hotel. For families there is a small playground outside near parking, sheep, few horses within walking distance. In the hotel there is a playroom downstairs with some toys / pencils/ lego. The room itself is not made like a playroom but better than nothing.Unfortunately we have to look for another hotel for our next reunion because this hotel does not meet our expectations and is overpriced for the quality offered.

Absolutely beautiful hotel with an amazing Spa Area and impeccable service! The only downer for us was the quality of the dinner food + service, as well as the way overpriced drinks we had along with our dinner. The breakfast however was remarkable!Would certainly recommend and come again - would simply consider having the dinners elsewhere.

Nice stay, but some gaps compared to a 4S superior.1) Level of service at breakfast not at expected level. I was asked by personnel to move from my table (as this was reserved) with awful mood, probably the worst experienced in my business trips.Restaurant: I couldn't have my dessert as kitchen already closed.2) Clean-up of room: waste was left full in the bathroom, moreover one bath towel had been removed without any substitution3) Design of room: curtains should assure deeper protection of day light (sun light at 6 a.m.)For bed: add medium size pillow and blanket is too little.Think of any dry system for bathrobe or its daily substitution.4) SPA availability: sauna & steambath switched off until 10 a.m., no good
