This was a GREAT hotel, with VERY friendly staff who helped us plan our adventures in Cologne. Good facilities... although the stove's power button wasn't working and the button next to it was the power button, but we contacted the staff and they were so nice to come up to our room to help us. Location was good and close to tourist attractions, such as the Chocolate Museum. In short, we highly recommend a stay at this hotel

don't understand the good reviews about this place. It is not central at all (good 20 min walk from train station) at a somewhat dodgy neighborhood. The place feels cheap in a sense that you can feel they try to save every cent to make a profit (and being cheap and sustainable are two very different things). The floor is so dirty - you know when you walk around bare foot and then your feet actually feels sticky and itchy. Cleaning is only offered if you pay a fee. There was a smell in our room from the moment we walked in, probably from beer spilling on furniture or floor, that remained for days. The toilet is so basic they only give you one body + shampoo in a bottle that is bolted to the wall. Not even hand soap for washing hands! The basin is plastic not even ceramic. The room is so small we couldn't even open our luggage inside. The list of bad things go on and on... Extremely disappointing given the amount paid

Great central location. Friendly, attentive staff. Kid and family friendly. Piano in lobby is a bonus. So are the free hot drinks and water (includes carbonated water). Rooms are clean and spacious, and the kitchenette is well equipped and relatively modern. Washer and dryer on site, as well as a small gym. Overall, great value and we would stay there again.

From check-in to check-out, I had a lovely stay at Aparthotel Adagio Koeln City.The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Heumarkt and a 20-minute walk from the central train station. Cologne Cathedral can be seen in the distance.Staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The hotel amenities were good, including free beverages in the lobby area, and paid on-site laundry.The four-person apartment was clean and had ample storage space. Every room had a door for added privacy, including the kitchenette which had all necessary kitchenware. Additional towels were available at reception upon request.Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would definitely book this hotel in the future.

We were a family of four, 2 adults and 2 kids. In previous adagio stays in other countries we have liked the concept of having almost everything you need an appartment but provided to you by a hotel. The cologne adagio however was not as we have wished or expected. The apartment is very small and the bedroom was a cubic of 2x2 the door was barely able to shut.We were on a tour in Germany so we had 4 luggages and we were not able to fit together with the luggages.The cleanliness of the apartment is average with many stains on the wall and in the bathroom, in addition to dust on the ceiling lamps. They were small flies flying in the kitchen and bathroom that bothered us.I raised with the hotel staff the issue of the space of the apartment but they didn’t do anything. I tried to offer solutions like moving into a bigger apartment or two studios but they said they were fully booked.We thought of changing the hotel but we were told that the we would have to pay the full stay despite explaining to him that I am a loyal member to Accor, so we decided not to leave.The hotel staff didn’t explain well to us how housekeeping works, nor did they explain that there is a booklet in the kitchen to guide us through the stay. They just explained about the fire alarm and that we should prevent using anything that produces smoke or heat.The location is fine about 20 min walking distance from central train station and about 5 min from the nearest subway station. The bus stop 132 that takes you to the train station is just outside the hotel which was convenient but if you are to go from the train station to the hotel it doesn't stop at the hotel due to constructions so the nearest bus stop would need 10 min walking which is neumart or chocolate museum.Overall our stay wasn't very pleasant and compared to other Adagio chains we visited this didn’t meet our expectations.

Excellent one week stay for a family of four. Very good location, very nice and helpful people, apartments exactly as shown in pictures, quiet and clean, very friendly atmosphere, all sights in walking distance, supermarket around the corner. We look forward to our next visit!

House keeping not up to the mark, even after reporting issue at reception, no one attended. Bathroom water drain was chocked and water was not draining as expected and then forms water clogging at the time of bath.Towels were not kept and I have to come down to collect as reception asked to come down to collect.Room key was disabled 4 times in a day, still no one from the staff ready to acknowledge the problem and just mentioned it's system issue, not sure if anyone reported the complaint.Lift was breakdown, lead time for repairing is too high.Observed that customers issue is not getting understood by the staff
