So rude and impolite woman in the reception. She saw us when we arrived and looked att us several times (but of course she had her lunchtime) After one hours waiting the reception opened and I went there to check in. She said, our motor home was to big for them. It is 8 meters without the bicycles and on the websites it says 8 meter is the longest. She was not the most helpful person I met, ever!! Don't go there if you doft want to be upset ! I will write this down everywhere I can so it won't happened to anyone again. If you want customers be polite even if yo can't help!

If you are really lucky, and after ship traffic has died down in the evening, you may get to observe a group of porpoises hunting for fish. Ship traffic aside, the campground, particularly in the first row, is relatively quiet and relaxing.**BUT... and it is a big but!**It all ends there! The campground management goes to great lengths to make their guests feel rather unwelcome. Every communication and interaction revolves around how THEY would like to do things, how THEY want to interact with you. The place is plastered with information and prohibition signs, you set up your camp under supervision, and the manager welcomes you with a grumpy mood as if you, the guests, are nuisances preventing her from doing her work! The check-in procedure is lengthy, online reservations are not possible, and credit or debit card payments are only accepted for stays of a minimum of three nights. The shop and cafe have a sparse product offering and accept only cash, which led us to shop elsewhere! There is camera surveillance at the entrance and in the sanitary building, for a purpose that exceeds our comprehension, as you can only enter with a key token that you get at reception for a deposit of 15 euros, in cash, of course.**In summary:**Great view if you secure a front row pitch, coupled with grumpy staff that doesn’t really make you feel welcome! I would recommend giving the manager a job that is not customer-facing and replacing her with someone who actually knows how to run a hospitality business!**Our rating of this place:**Great view that does not make up for bad customer service! Cannot recommend, will not come again!

This camp site is located just outside Kiel. If you are lucky and don't mind the extra fee you can actually set up camp on the edge of the water and enjoy the Kieler Fjord and especially the Sunset in the evening. …

Generally great place to spend a night or two. Unfortunately for us the weather was not nice.Covid 19 restrictions took their part, but maybe cleaning up the facilities more than twice a day would also help the prevention.Possibility to enjoy fresh bread rolls and other stuff in the morning is great.

Well situated and lovely camp site. Right on the cycling path either direction on the Kiel fjord, with beachfront bars and restaurants approx 2 mins cycle toward Heikendorf. Quiet with good sanitary facilities and a small cafe/bar on site. Only note you have to park in the lay-by on the road approaching the site before walking to reception to check in. Good site with friendly owners!

It’s a nice campsite but beware: if you are traveling by car or have a large bike (like us), don’t expect to leave the campsite between 1-3 in the afternoon! The managers shut the gate and don’t let anyone in or out! …

It's a long walk to the toilet. There is no shower but it's very cheap! 5 euro/ night. Too bad the restaurant closed early.
