This hotel meets barebones needs for an overnight stay. Pros: cleanliness and quiet. Cons: no USB plugs for charging, only one dim overhead light, small bathroom with only the most basic amenities (soap, thin tissue), limited front-desk staffing. The defensive responses of the management to reviews on here is not a good look either. I was on a work trip and it met my need for a good night’s sleep.

Old rooms, interesting access.I arrive late and it took a while to figure out how to get access to my room - night bell is a small buzzer in an unmarked entrance at the very back of the building.Room was a good size for Europe (with a newly renovated bathroom) but pretty old with poor lighting. No A/C (of course) and not much heat - plus the window in the bedroom was broken and would not open.Breakfast is pretty basic. Get there early before the hot stuff (eggs, sausage) gets rubbery.Felt more like a guest house someone had decorated with thrift furniture at the last minute. Not close to anything and good luck getting a taxi.Has a self-serve laundry with a coin-fed timer but I still had to hang my clothes all over the room to get them dry.

The hotel is old but nice, room prices are not too high.||Room was almost clean, bed is comfortable and big enough. Bathroom is not so big but nice. There is no AC in the room, it could be hard to sleep when the weather is hot. …

Hotel in an old building.|Small and clean. Kind staff. Excellent breakfast.|Reasonable rooms (small and cramped bathroom). Fantastic location.|Parking is somewhat distant. For the nostalgia lovers. Excellent value for the price. We enjoyed it.

The hotel is clean but very modest. The rooms are extremely small with very minimal amenities, and no elevator. On the other hand the breakfast was surprisingly rich and tasty with a good selection of hot and cold items. Not much around the area either, good for business travel.

Great place. The food was good and the service was kind and helpful, the adapted one of the dishes for me as I can not eat gluten. You can walk easily from the university and several research institutes (10 minutes walk) what makes of it a good option if you need to be there for business for example. A lot of options in the menu, with local traditional food. No gluten free beers here.

I stayed at this hotel and found it to be second to none in its class. We were a family of 4 visiting the Christmas markets and found it easy and convenient to launch each day from here. …

I chose this hotel because it was very close to the venue I needed to go on business.||It is a medium sized friendly place. The single rooms are not huge, but perfectly sufficient for one person. …

The breakfast is a wonderful traditional German breakfast, still hoping to find liverwurst and smoked salmon one morning but still great. The staff are nice and friendly. They have a small parking lot in the back which is very useful because street parking isn't for the faint of heart. My accommodations are wonderful having a small livingroom, king sized bed, kitchenette and spacious shower. My favorite room is the covered patio, surrounded by windows. If you get the chance select apt 36!
