First of all: I am blind myself and therefore have some expectations of a hotel that is particularly aimed at blind and visually impaired people. So I'm sticking with the rating for the hotel and for blind people. I don't really know where to start. Maybe by the room. The rooms are large, but shabby. Stains on the carpet (I was told). The shower lip in the bathroom was broken and fell off the wall after the first night. A broken shower lip (for the shower door) should be noticeable when cleaning, right? There is a sign telling the staff that they do not want to be disturbed at this time. Unfortunately, you cannot see (as a blind person) which side this represents, because the other side represents something different. So it's important what it depends on. When I asked, I was told that there was a point on one page that had probably fallen off. Excitingly, I couldn't find a dot on the sign in the room where I was moved after the shower lip fell off, and the other participants also missed the dot on the sign. Little things? True. So now let’s get to food. At the beginning of the meal you are well supported. It explains what is available and you get what you want. Unfortunately, during the 4 days that I was there, it never occurred to any of the employees to ask anyone at the table if they needed anything else during the meal. The fact that no other drinks were offered besides the tea on the table (which was included in the price) is not so nice, but is actually more damaging for the company. It would be his money. Where the employees were really big was when it came to the question of whether the dishes could be cleared away. So the question of whether someone else needs something wouldn't be a problem at all. Now to choose: Breakfast is fine. Not outstanding, but just ok. For dinner there is bread and something warm like cabbage soup or something like that. What's a shame, in my opinion, is when there's always the same dessert for 4 days. So Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening and even more embarrassingly Saturday there was cheesekake cream for lunch. The fruit salad is from a can, although there is fresh fruit, the leftovers of which could be used to make fresh fruit salad. Overall, I can say that lunch was extremely unseasoned. Of course I can add more salt, but a meal doesn't turn out well with just pepper and salt. For 13 euros per meal I expect something different! At the end of the stay I actually wanted to make suggestions for improvement when paying. These were harshly rejected and I had to give the new staff a chance. I would, but not if I can't even tell the boss what could work better. This, dear hotel guides, is not what customer service looks like! I cannot expressly recommend this hotel for overnight stays! A pity! There are two stars because we were well supplied with drinks in the coffee shop in the evening and asking about further needs was easy. Thanks Nicole! I can only wish the managing directors that they seriously think about the small needs of their target group and especially the new staff in relation to schools. They can't know it alone!
