The hotel service was lovely, so too was the room! Email correspondence before arriving was good but the check in service was better! The room was perfect for our family of 3 ---there was lots of space and enough bedding. The bathroom was a hallway shape and size but it worked well for us. There was a bottle for shampoo/conditioner/body wash but there could have been separate products to enhance this room. The hallway and area leading up to the room was inviting and nicely decorated, and the beds in the room were comfortable for our one night. The breakfast the next morning was very nice ---an assortment of continental items with a cute, sweet treat at each placesetting. We would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking to stay in the Kettwig/Werden area of Essen!

I have not visited this hotel, as i had to cancel my trip due to other reasons, although the room was already booked. But i want to review the service with the booking. The staff was very helpful in canceling my stay free of charge after some email exchange. Would recommend again.

Checked in there due to a wedding. The location was perfect for us and there was enough parking, even though we arrived with several cars. The rooms were large and well equipped. Everything seemed clean and freshly cleaned!

We had the family room and it was huge and super delicious 😃 Also really nice breakfast. Bathtub and everything you need, fridge, freezer, two delicious king-size beds and sofa beds in the living room. …

Friendliness and service leave a lot to be desired, sat on the street due to double booking, not recommended. We booked an apartment for four people ten months before our wedding and most of the family stayed in the hotel because of our celebration. Unfortunately, we arrived from Stuttgart and Hamburg and had to check in after 7 p.m. in front of closed doors. After replying by phone, we were informed that the apartment had been booked twice. That can happen, but the way the situation was handled was beyond outrageous. At first we were blamed for checking in too late, no apology, no nothing. However, that didn't change the fact of the double booking. Only after repeated requests did the owner come up with an alternative. But only for one night, which was more than inconvenient for our wedding the next day. The reaction at the other end was that we should be flexible. With a horrified wedding couple on the phone, the other end of the line simply hung up. Ultimately, a solution was found for the two couples separately, one of which involved moving on the day of the celebration. In the end, we looked for an alternative ourselves and found the entire communication quite bold for a service provider. Anyone looking for a safe bed and appropriate treatment should not stay here.

We had a big room. They had a kettle in the room and some kind of coffee machine, but for capsules. The TV, but we didn't try it here, we were there on a trip h and played games. The only thing missing was a microwave for us, but otherwise it was comfortable. A nice big bathroom, both with a bathtub and and a large shower, toilet in the bathroom as usual. The location of the hotel is good, actually close to everything, but it is next to the road, which you won't notice after a while, but you can hear and see planes every now and then. It's nothing that would drive someone crazy, but they draw attention to it. It is busy because there is also a restaurant nearby and quite frequented and also tennis courts. The hotel staff is older, but cordial, smiling, willing and accommodating. All important people speak English. They let us check in 3 and a half hours early before we were supposed to arrive and thanks for that. It was a nice place for us.

Nightmare. It feels like you're sleeping on the street. Directly busy road plus aircraft noise plus railway. Everything rots. Room smells. I would have to get money for overnight accommodation. Bad WiFi.
