Well decorated, comfortable. We were there for a trade show and we chose the hotel due to its proximity with the Messe Essen. The rooms at the beginning pf September we’re incredibly warm. My team had a lot of trouble to sleep. Breakfast was on time, and the service agreed on serving us 30 minutes before the usual during our stay, and we’re there punctually. The breakfast was nothing really special, but on time. The lack of staff on the weekend was very disappointing on our arrival (Sunday), even despite the staff knew we would be arriving on a Sunday, either way, didn’t contact us to sort that out or to at least have an agreed arrival time so that they could staff the hotel. The recepcionist gave us a door code via phone so that we could enter, however while inside there were no keys waiting for us and we had to leave the luggage there so that we could go to the trade show to build our booth. We are unfortunately not coming back, not because of the service or the breakfast, but because it was unbearable to get a full night of sleep due to the heat.

Great place in all senses. Location wise is perfect. They have a great breakfast! Hey cook scrambled eggs literally in front of you in the tiny kitchen inside the breakfast room and all the products are typical and if higher quality. Rooms are cozy and you can really see a deep attention to details. Definitely one of the best hotels I have ever been.

Lovely boutique hotel. Staff are fantastic - really welcoming. Relaxed atmosphere. My only regret is that I am only staying one night! I recommend the Greek restaurant up the street - delicious home-cooked Greek food at a very reasonable price.

Perfect hotel if you are going for the Fawlty Tower experience. Being locked out of your room when arriving midnight is no exception. Reason: key card was disabled. Subsequently there's no emergency number available in the hotel. Had to move to a different hotel, got a call from the owner at 2 midnight after sending a mail.. no refund for that unused room/night was ever given.. keep on looking for something more descent.
