After booking this hotel on Booking.com a few weeks ago for a trip from the UK to Germany for the Euros, our experience was nothing short of a nightmare. We were scheduled to check in yesterday, but upon arrival, we faced an unbelievable situation.Despite having a confirmed reservation for four people, the hotel staff claimed they hadn’t received our booking from Booking.com. Then they changed their story, stating that the reservation was only for two people. We showed them our email confirmation, which clearly stated four guests, including breakfast. They reluctantly accepted this after seeing the email. However, things took a turn for the worse when they tried to charge us double the amount and insisted we wouldn’t be getting breakfast, despite it being included in our booking confirmation. When we showed them the confirmation again, the manager rudely pushed my phone away and refused to speak English, continuously shouting “no” at us.Their behavior was shockingly rude and unprofessional. They were yelling at us in another language, and their treatment was especially appalling considering we had a disabled guest with us. We left the hotel within 20 minutes of this heated argument, feeling completely disrespected and mistreated. This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I strongly advise anyone to avoid this place at all costs. The staff’s attitude was unacceptable, and their refusal to honor our confirmed reservation and provide basic courtesy was outrageous. Definitely do not recommend!

Nice quiet location, not far from the motorway. Very friendly service, great atmosphere.Very good cuisine and very good prices, increasingly rare these days. We stayed here for an evening and were treated very nicely and courteously on the phone. Only too happy to do it again

The hotel can be rated as “good”, with a lot of room for improvement. The room price is absolutely okay for a hotel in the Düsseldorf region and is still fairly close to the center for drivers. The rooms are clean and meet German hotel standards. The catering, especially at lunchtime and in the evening, is fine. Can be recommended with a clear conscience, even for non-hotel guests.Unfortunately, I had to skimp on the stars when it came to service, for the following reasons: The lack of breakfast was a serious problem. The offer here is very manageable, almost stingy. You can save the money and eat breakfast out instead. You can't be picky here. On Sundays, breakfast was possible at 8:30 at the earliest (because no one wanted to get fresh rolls from the bakery/gas station earlier?) Simply too late for people who start their day early. For rooms benevolently only deducted one star. You can receive maybe 3 channels on the TV, all the others were because of... poor reception settings. You have to have WiFi set up by the owner upon request and it was then too slow to be able to use it meaningfully - e.g. for Google Maps.

The food is generally very tasty. I have to warn you about the schnitzel with pepper cream sauce. I don't want to say it was bad, as we all know tastes differ. However, I don't know how a pepper cream sauce is made with so much ground pepper that it creates an extremely peppery, spicy mush. I know it more as a cream sauce with a handful of peppercorns. Something for someone who loves pepper more than anything. That was too violent.Otherwise, the food is consistently very tasty. The schnitzels are thick and juicy. Fries, fried potatoes. Simply great. It's a shame that the side salad was removed from all dishes.

After making a reservation by telephone, there was NO booking confirmation despite prior agreement. Who. If we had received a booking confirmation, then we would have known when we could check in. …

The young women in service were very nice, considerate and friendly.||The room, however, gave cause for complaint. No shower/bath/toilet in the room, but in the hallway. …
