Very nice hotel, rooms tastefully designed, you could only save the 2 euro parking fee from the hotel! Nevertheless, this hotel is recommended!

We were there for 4 nights for a cultural country tour. The rooms are ok, clean and big enough. But nothing more. The breakfast buffet has everything that belongs to a hotel breakfast of this category. Service mostly friendly, sometimes stressed and a bit overwhelmed. It was completely unclear to us where the many stars came from, especially for the restaurant!! It was simply impossible to eat there during our stay. There is no a la carte restaurant and there was no possibility to have a drink or something to eat there in the evening...?? We never saw any guests there either. Overall, a puzzling concept?! That's why the references to the star cuisine and the upscale offerings are pure boasting!! The Greek across the street rightly benefits from this situation and serves friendly, good Greek cuisine! Thanks for that!! So if you expect something special and are looking forward to star cuisine in the Katerberg, you will definitely be disappointed. It is a very normal hotel that is overrated online.

Neat and clean run owner hotel. Points deducted for the soggy breakfast rolls, the fruit ran out quickly, the porcelain that was too small or the lack of a dishwasher, and the staff also had highs and lows like everywhere else. An unfriendly and grumpy face can change the entire atmosphere. We didn't understand the hotel's own restaurant with these dishes and the high prices. Reservation required but then no one was there.

Why this hotel has 4 stars is inexplicable to me. You have to reserve the restaurant by 5 p.m. otherwise you won't get a seat, even if there is hardly anyone there. I was at the Greek restaurant across the street. The house seems lifeless.

I stayed at the comfort hotel Katerberg from February 23, 2024 to February 24, 2024.Some of the reviews from some guests are absolutely incomprehensible to me.I can only shake my head at contemporaries who you can obviously never please.First of all, I would like to thank you again today for still getting a great meal despite the kitchen closing at 9 p.m.After a long time, the Iberico neck steak**** was once again a real culinary delight, something that many starred restaurants can easily take a slice (or two) off of.Above all, I was very happy to finally have fried potatoes again - and not choux potatoes.The food alone is 5 stars and absolutely the BEST thing I've eaten again after a loooooong time.The breakfast buffet is also absolutely recommended!!!!!My room was definitely 4 stars ****.It was TOP-TOP clean and I have nothing to complain about at all.With an average of 120 to 150 overnight stays per year, I am definitely in a position to judge this.Especially after Corona, a lot has unfortunately changed in many hotels (I usually sleep in BEST Western Hotels), and not exactly in a positive way.That's why I would always prefer the comfort Hotel Katerberg in Lüchow on my next business stay in the Lüneburg / Uelzen area.All in all :Absolutely recommended with very friendly hosts and definitely coming back NEXT TIME!!!

It's good that there's a good Greek guy opposite, because we didn't get anything at the hotel despite having a reservation. Reception staff and breakfast buffet quite unfriendly, but buffet was good

So the rooms were really very musty that I could hardly sleep. Breakfast buffet was completely okay and so was the service. But I won't be back until the rooms have been renovated and the musty carpet has been removed. 🤷🏼

Very, very contradictory, hence only 2 stars in the rating.Particularly noteworthy are the two ladies at breakfast and in the room cleaning area, always in a good mood and very friendly. You could also feel sorry for the young lady who worked at reception on Saturday and at the same time in the restaurant and who got the bad mood of the chef, she has only been there for 4 weeks.We ate well, but it wasn't cheap either. B a shandy with König Pilsener 0.3 €4.50! It wasn't possible to order a dessert, there was too much going on in the kitchen even though we were almost the last guests and Sunday was a day of rest followed by company holidays. The house has 4*The hotel advertised on flyers that it had a daily happy hour from 5-6 p.m. Unfortunately there was no sign of this on Sunday, the bistro wasn't open. No explanation whatsoever, reception can only be reached via cell phone number. We didn't feel welcome. We also couldn't have anything written in our room, and payment upon arrival is perhaps ok for business people and fitters, but we didn't find it suitable for two nights.There were a few cyclists on the road and there was no dry space for the bikes. It's a shame, more could be done...
