Unbelievable the restaurant is closed on Sunday. Several cycling and hiking groups stood disappointed in front of closed doors. Especially at the weekend there are a lot of people out and about on Venner Moor and would certainly like to eat and drink there in large numbers.

We were there over the weekend and booked directly by email. The contact was very friendly right from the start and this impression was also confirmed on site. The room was neat and clean and very welcoming. A late arrival was possible without any problems. We found the breakfast buffet to be top with a good selection of sausages, cheese, yoghurt, muesli and fresh food. The rolls are fresh and high quality. We felt comfortable and would come back at any time.Price-performance ratio is not asked, but would also receive 5 stars.

How nice is this hotel please? Lovingly furnished rooms with individual names, top service, great breakfast, the rolls are really good, the menu in the restaurant is regionally classic but good and the prices are reasonable, parking is free at the house, although it is on a street and a bus stop, quiet. We'll be happy to come back, thank you. A small negative point: we had a metal bed frame in the room that squeaked a lot when we turned it over, but it was comfortable

Hotel Venner Moor is our go to place in Germany. It offers beautiful rooms, comfort, excellent food and peaceful surroundings. There are many bike and walking routes directly from the hotel. |Martina and Bernhard are friendly, present and very service minded.

Spontaneously went to eat there after visiting Venner Moor. We received very friendly service and advice, the food was excellent, even if it was expensive. I can't say anything about the hotel. Still happy again

We checked in here for a weekend and were warmly greeted right at the front door as guests of the small hotel with a restaurant. We were personally shown to the room and were able to look forward to a large room with a truly huge round bathtub - which can also serve as an open shower. Only the wide edge of the tub could represent a small hurdle for people who are no longer very agile when moving, but this solution is still unusually interesting. The decoration in the room is an exciting mix of classic and pop, and the four-poster bed completes this. Our room facing the inner courtyard was quiet and we really liked it for the two nights. The rooms are well equipped, from a hairdryer to a kettle, as well as a comfortable sofa and a large bathroom, you will find everything you need. The breakfast is really rich, offering a good selection from A to Z to suit many tastes. We didn't test the restaurant, but according to the menu it offers higher quality cuisine, which is clearly reflected in the prices displayed. The nearby moor area and the canal are ideal for a short hike, but there are many mosquitoes lurking in the moor for human "prey". For example, from Hiltrup train station, which is just 15 minutes away, you can easily get to Münster by P+R. This rural hotel is therefore a good starting point for further activities in the region.

Absolute disappointment!I cannot recommend this hotel with the best will in the world. When we checked in at 6 p.m. the room was very cold, so we turned the heating up to maximum and left straight away. Despite the heating setting being set to maximum, the cold persisted when we arrived at 11 p.m.Instead of a proper solution, we were treated with arrogance and ignorance. So we sat in our down jackets in the ice-cold room and waited in vain for a message from hotel staff about the progress of the repair work or an alternative to this cold room. The hotel owner didn't seem to care about the fact that we couldn't use the room.Even as the only guests that day we were treated with indifference. The hotel owner's arrogance reached its peak when we were generously offered to leave the hotel. In what world is this an acceptable solution, especially the day before Christmas and just before midnight?The whole thing would certainly have been known earlier and possibly remedied if our room had been preheated by the hotel staff. Considering we were the only guests that day, it didn't seem like an unreasonable effort.The unwillingness to apologize and respond appropriately for the inconvenience caused, the indifference towards the guests make this hotel an absolute disappointment. Guests are obviously not welcome here and I strongly advise anyone not to waste their time and money at this hotel.P.S. We actually found another hotel because staying was no longer an option for us. The hotel owner later accused me in her email of not reporting the problem with the heating in a timely manner. Apparently she expected us to sit in the room when we checked in and wait for the heater to warm up. Here too: limitless arrogance instead of an apology for significant inconvenience and inadequate response from the hotel

Das Hotel hat alle Erwartungen übertroffen! Ein seltener Fall von Preis-Qualität. Alles war perfekt – Inneneinrichtung, Sanitär. Stilvoll und stimmungsvoll. Das aus regionalen Zutaten zubereitete Frühstück war wie ein Michelin-Restaurant dekoriert! Meine einzige kleine Beschwerde ist, dass die Matratzen zu weich für meinen Rücken waren.The hotel exceeded all expectations! A rare case of price-quality. Everything was perfect - interior, plumbing. Stylish and atmospheric. The breakfast, made from local ingredients, was decorated like a Michelin restaurant! Very good and quiet location. The rooms are modern, very clean and large. Overall, a hidden gem just 20 minutes by car from Münster. The optional breakfast is very fairly priced at €12. Extras cost extra, which I personally think is good. I don't need an omelette, salmon etc. for breakfast. The basics were more than adequately covered and of good quality. The owners are very friendly and relaxed. We look forward to our next visit and then being able to try out the restaurant.

Very nice apartment. The rooms are spacious and bright. 2 bathrooms, but only one with a bathtub. A large common area. Unfortunately, the kitchen is very small and it is difficult to fit one person in it. There is also no microwave. The fridge is not too big and the minibar is half full. Quiet area, rural atmosphere. The price is quite high. In the restaurant too.
