Himmelmann menu carousel March 2024Booked for 2 adults; The menu offered at a price of €74.50 per person was justified by the choice of food and method of preparation.But the ambience, the attentiveness of the staff and the "accessories" of the food are also important in the overall evaluation....The restaurant was not very appealing, had more of the ambience of a train station.......... despite the few guests, there was a lot of thermal noise (especially the loud guests at the neighboring table). Normal subdued conversation is not possible due to the atmosphere.Apart from the window decorations from Risthaus, no table/room decorations worth mentioning. 08/15 cutlery / glasses.Warm clothing is required when visiting due to the low room temperature in the “Bahnhofhalle”.The “accompanying wines” were poured straight away instead of tasting. The white wine was lukewarm, and chilled rose was required with the fish dish! Tried it and immediately rejected it with thanks.The service person was visibly irritated.So I ordered red wine; When I asked which plant was being served, I first had to look awkwardly at the bottle; I am capable of reading myself.Refills only if clearly requested by the service! The still filled rose glass was only cleared away after clear instructions.The dessert was delicious; only small “coffee spoons” were available; probably the dessert fork just “came out”?Summary:Good menu; but the rest.........once and never again!

All in all a great hotel and restaurant. We were accommodated there by my company for an event in town. Eating drinks quickly and tasty. The entire house has great character. The service was great, always with a relaxed attitude and a smile in the heart. Thank you for the lovely stay.

Had dinner here yesterday with a group, we would have actually gone to Teltrop, but unfortunately that doesn't exist anymore.I wanted to have a direct comparison to the food, so I chose the schnitzel with paprika sauce.Unfortunately, my main course was a disappointment, the schnitzels were very small in comparison, the sauce was very sweet, and there were only a few fries, but they tasted quite greasy. The salad, on the other hand, was very good. Others at the table weren't entirely enthusiastic either, the service was Normally good. When asked, I didn't say anything negative because I was invited and would find that very rude. My expectations, as well as others in the group, had higher expectations in terms of quality and quantity.
