I stayed for 1 night in April, which was still affordable at the bakery checkout with more or less involved employees and a missing remote control in the room. Unfortunately, I didn't show up until the end. So unfortunately I wanted to book a room again and it wasn't possible because only online banking or credit cards can't understand that. It's a shame but I won't be coming back again.

I can only rate the cafe, and that's great. Great cakes, pastries, drinks all delicious. And the staff is always friendly and helpful. It is centrally located in the village of Steinbeck (next to the church) and there is an Edeka market right next door. Likewise the marina harbor of Recke! 👌

For me it was a new concept somewhere between a hotel and a guesthouse. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The complex consisted of guest rooms, a bakery/café, a butcher shop, and an Edeka market. Which opened up many opportunities for marginal travelers. There was also a dining room for hotel guests. All in all, my expectations were met and the price-performance ratio was reasonable.

The rating is solely about the café. The hotel is due to water damage. Currently closed. The baked goods, like the coffee, are of excellent quality. The covered apple pie is absolutely top notch. We look forward to the next visit.

Very nice room, large bathroom. Location was perfect for us as we were looking for a hotel nearby due to a birthday. Checking in with a key box was very uncomplicated and the lady who made it possible for us was very nice! For €10 per person there was a rich breakfast buffet in the nice café, which is also highly recommended!

I was in the café and the young woman serving (tall, slightly blonde) fit in there really well, she professionally offered everything in a fun, warm manner and sold it well, coffee was super delicious and the cake spaghetti cake was a dream, not too sweet and not too intense, really tasty and creamy wowEven later at the sausage/cheese counter she was very professional and brought an incredible breath of fresh air

We went on a 5-day cycling holiday in Steinbeck. The location is great, there are plenty of organized tours (Municipality of Recke) and a lot to see in the area. Our room was small, functionally furnished, clean and, above all, inexpensive. The breakfast buffet in the associated back cafe is particularly noteworthy. Rarely have we had such a royal breakfast. The staff was friendly and always approachable.

Very nice little hotel in the middle of the town center of Recke-Steinbeck.The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable and the staff was super friendly. Booking and communication was totally uncomplicated and the breakfast buffet was very tasty and varied.
