Great hotel. Very nice service. The breakfast is good. The location of the hotel is about 3-5 minute walk to the Historic Marketplace. Which is very nice. Very nice town.

Simply perfect! Everything, from the room to the breakfast, was impeccable.The room was spacious, spotless and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was rich and varied, with very fresh products. The staff was extremely courteous and available for every request. The location is great, walking distance to the main attractions.I highly recommend it!

* Reception only open until 7 p.m* Attic room at 30°C without air conditioning or fan___We were on a business trip. I arrived before my colleague. The friendly lady at the reception pointed out to me that she would no longer be found at the reception in 10 minutes (around 7 p.m.). So I checked in for my colleague, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to get into his room without further effort.I went to my room, which was under the attic. It was 30°C outside, around 28°C inside. There was no air conditioning or fan. Given the temperatures, it's no use opening the two windows (one in the living room and one in the bathroom). I didn't get any shut eye all night because it was so hot. The rest was done by the 70cm wide bed and an indefinable door in the bathroom.Conclusion: it was clean and lovingly furnished but not for hot summer days, late arrivals or a lot of space.

A nice hotel in a central yet quiet location. Very clean, large rooms. The boss and the employees are very nice and helpful. There was a spacious garage available for our bicycles. A great breakfast buffet!! We would stay there again.

Quiet environment, at least on weekends. Reception was friendly. Breakfast was lean, normal cheese/sausage/some chopped vegetables, scrambled eggs. Nothing special. Room: hair in the bed, mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, empty paper box in the bathroom, bathroom is getting old. Mirror lamp rusted. No ventilation, just the window in the bathroom. Rooms noisy and small. Had a double bed and the pillows were really not good. Sleep was out of the question. So this hotel is worth a maximum of 2 stars. How they get 4 stars is really questionable to me. Average age of the guests is around 50 to 70. No German is spoken among the staff.

Hotel Sophia was great! The staff was super friendly. Breakfast was delicious, and the room was very clean. My only personal issue was that there were no TV channels in English. But no fault of theirs, being a non German speaking person in a German speaking country, I expected that.

Well located, the city center just a stone's throw away. Rooms clean and comfortable and very friendly welcome. Unfortunately, the restaurant advertised on the website has not been open since Corona. You should update it! However, you can visit the restaurants in the city center within walking distance. I was in the sun... really tasty and recommended.

Here the price-performance ratio is not right at all.I can't understand some of the very good reviews.I stayed in this hotel with a colleague.She lived in the basement and I lived in the attic.Apart from us, only Eastern European workers were accommodated.The attic room was overall rather small and narrow.The bed was rather narrow for a hotel and constantly slipped when you sat on it because it was on wheels.The mattress was comparable to a trampoline.For free there was a small sweet, WiFi and a mini fridge that was far too loud, which is unbearable for light sleepers at night.So even I couldn't have a restful night.I'm really not squeamish and the cobwebs on the lamp don't bother me, but the fact that I'm greeted by excrement sprinklers from the previous model in the ceramic and on the underside of the toilet seat is an absolute no-go.Damp toilet paper and the toilet brush were able to remove the residue fairly easily (see photos).The mirror cabinet was also dirty and the shower head and shower holder were defective.The hairdryer was outdated and there was no make-up mirror.My fellow traveler had it even worse...her room in the basement was larger, but the difficult-to-describe smell of mildew and mold was almost unbearable.For people with claustrophobia and a fear of spiders, a room like this without windows and a light well is of little use.The smell didn't allow me to open the window, but the fear of spiders worked against it.Unfortunately, sleep was out of the question for my colleague.The breakfast buffet was rich overall, but mostly consisted of cheap Lidl products.The scrambled eggs are to be praised because they seemed to be made from real eggs and not from a tetra pack and tasted good too.The dry rolls didn't suit my palate and the tomato mozzarella was rather carelessly prepared.On the first day the orange juice tasted fermented.The staff was always on their toes, friendly and accommodating. Big compliments to everyone.Parking spaces are rare, but free.The pedestrian zone can be reached in 3 minutes on foot.Overall, I'm used to much better and wouldn't visit the hotel again.The rooms on the first floor for the workers are perhaps better and more representative of the hotel, but I can't judge that.Unfortunately I don't recommend it.

Very nice hotel with friendly service.The rooms are clean and well furnished with a nice bathroom and very good beds.The breakfast was very extensive and provided with good tasty products in a very nice dining room.Moreover, the hotel is perfectly located because you walk out of the street and you are in the nice old center of weredorf.Absolutely great!
