One of the coziest farms in Franconia! Went there with our bikes, we were thrilled by the historical ambience of the old farm. Very nice hosts, we slept peacefully and had a delicious breakfast. Absolutely worth recommending!

Rustically furnished, the old innkeeper was very nice, the restaurant was built in a former horse stable, small and filled with all sorts of memories. Only suitable for quenching thirst.

I visited Kulmbach for a short time on business and stayed at the Schwärzhof for a few days. Always happy. The owner is super nice and took great care of his guests.

Cute, rustic guesthouse. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is very rich. You feel comfortable here. Until next time 😃

It was very warm. The senior Günter is very friendly and the housekeeper Angie has everything under control. Efforts are being made. But the whole house is very old. The rooms are really very small and a lot of things don't work or aren't clean. The rooms are super small and showering is really an adventure. We wouldn't book it again. I think it's past its best years. But the people are very nice and friendly.

We received a very warm welcome and the whole house has been furnished with a lot of love, no matter where you look there is something new to discover. The rooms are very comfortable, even a small kitchen and sink were available and really great for the price.Great breakfast and the 1 liter of beer goes down like oil ;).

Small, outdated overnight accommodation.We were accommodated in an attic room which was far too small for a double room. There were cobwebs all over the ceilings. The small independent kitchen that was available was dirty and the refrigerator didn't work. On a small shelf with glass jars there were leftover items from guests and the shelf itself was dirty and greasy. The shower cubicle was functional but dirty. Cobwebs in the bathroom too...What was serious for us was that there were no smoke detectors installed in the apartment or the rest of the house.The breakfast was sufficient.The price-performance ratio was not justified for us.

Beautiful small and very clean country hotel. Quaint, rustic charm on a small Arabian stud farm with a lovely dog, a pretty rooster and chickens. Good, sufficient breakfast lovingly prepared by the extremely nice hosts. Very cozy room under the attic with excellent beds. Everything is not an everyday occurrence and is therefore highly recommended. At least 6 stars

Beautiful rooms rustically furnished. Breakfast in the farmhouse parlor, bar room also rustic and individual. Beer garden in the middle of a very appealing ambience. Located near Kulmbach, but relaxing and quiet - also very suitable for cyclists and everyone who likes something special.

Friendly welcome, nice room. The house almost has the impression of a museum. We would be received very warmly. The room was very clean and comfortably furnished. The breakfast was also very extensive. I have had worse experiences in some 3 star hotels. Don't let external impressions influence you.

Personally, I cannot recommend the inn. I didn't feel comfortable in the room.Certainly acceptable for one night, but unfortunately not anymore.There were several complaints that I wanted to leave at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, even though I voluntarily skipped breakfast.

Very interesting building and friendly owner. You can enjoy the atmosphere of the countryside. From the top room you can see the fort. I recommend this hotel.
