Parking lot just before the street on the right, directly in front of the hotel. Idyllic location with a beautiful view and a large balcony with seating. Rich breakfast buffet with fresh variations in a cozy room. Very good access to hiking trails and water mills towards the swimming pool. Very good air and Kneipp treatments possible. It's worth a visit!

If you've always wanted to stay in an inn that strikes the perfect balance between "spacious" and "located somewhere in the middle of nowhere", then Gasthof Hereth is the right place for you!Let's start with the rooms: These are so big that you almost need a hiking map to find your way from the bed to the bathroom. So if you're claustrophobic, you'll have absolutely nothing to complain about here! And on top of that, they're clean, so you almost feel like eating breakfast on the floor (which of course we didn't do... well, almost).Another highlight is the proximity to the local fire department, which not only ensures safety but also offers a reliable supply of beer. Who would have thought that you would be happy to have the fire department in an inn? Even the village gossip can't keep up!The prices for food and drinks are a real joy for the wallet. Where can you get a large plate of food for a small thaler these days without wondering whether you accidentally ordered the children's plate?But no review is without a few downsides: The innkeepers may be a bit cool at the beginning, but don't worry, after the second beer not only the evening but also the mood thaws. You just have to “defrost” them a little – perhaps with a well-placed compliment about your great fire department connections?The food? Well, let's put it this way: it was fine. The chef apparently incorporated convenience products into the otherwise decent dishes from time to time. But who needs haute cuisine when you can invest the money in another round of beer?The only real downer: the inn is a bit out of the way. So if you're looking for the adventure of finding a way there, you won't be disappointed! It basically includes a free orientation test.All in all: The Gasthof Hereth is like a well-hidden gem - with a little patience and a beer in your hand, your stay will be a very special experience. It's a great place to stay.The breakfast was good and rich.We had sauerbraten with dumplings and a salad for dinner there. SUPER tasty and a generous portion at a fair price, just like the price of the beer.The hotel is a touring hotel and since we are both motorcyclists, that was a very good thing for us. However, we only noticed this upon arrival.Our room was in a very good condition and everything was very tidy. We had a balcony, a new bathroom with a rain shower and red light.We parked our motorcycles in the garage and, as is usual for a touring hotel, there were options for small repairs.We recommend this hotel and can imagine staying there again.

My family and I recently visited family in the area and stayed 14 days at Hotel Gasthof Hereth in Wirsberg, Bavaria. The room and bathroom were spacious and very clean. The beds were comfortable, and the down comforter was amazing. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. It offered a variety of items, such as fresh Brötchen (German rolls), different cheeses and cold cuts, a variety of cold breakfast cereal, yoghurt plain or with fruit topping, soft boiled eggs, and upon request scrambled or fried eggs, orange juice , butter, margarine, several varieties of home-made marmalade and jams, Nutella and honey. Let’s not forget the coffee, which was amazing and hot and served as soon as you enter the breakfast room and sit down. The family Hereth and entire staff were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They made us feel welcome and treated us like family. Before I forget to mention it, the Hotel Gasthof Hereth also offers a wide variety of authentic Fränkische dinner meals. My all-time favorite was the Wiener Schnitzel and Klösse (German Dumplings) served with gravy, and an amazing looking and tasting salad. All meals are prepared fresh by Hotel Gasthof Hereth’s own chef, Guido Hereth. I highly recommend the Hotel Gasthof Hereth to anyone looking for a wonderful and relaxing place to spend their vacation.My family and I recently spent 14 days at the Hotel Gasthof Hereth in Wirsberg, Bavaria. All meals are freshly prepared by the Hotel Gasthof Hereth's head chef, Guido Hereth. I can highly recommend the Hotel Gasthof Hereth to anyone who is looking for a wonderful hotel for their vacation.

Good Franconian cuisine, clean rooms, modern bathrooms and a nice little beer garden. Extremely nice and friendly hosts. Junior boss is a biker himself and also helps with tour planning.Garage for the motorcycles.

Very friendly and helpful host family. I can fully recommend this restaurant/hotel. Food, rooms, beds and service were excellent. The location is very good, in the middle of the holiday area with many leisure activities and can be reached by train. Thank you very much for the lovely time here.
