The hotel is old fashioned. Personally, it bothered me that the furnishings were old-fashioned, that the WiFi didn't work in my room and that the hotel felt empty (and that the drinks machine only takes coins). But if that doesn't bother you, this is a very clean and inexpensive hotel with comfortable beds and a delicious breakfast.

Rooms were relatively small and unfortunately only accessible via stairs (no elevator). The breakfast was good. There is a free parking lot next to the hotel (2 minutes walk).

A few weeks ago we booked two rooms in this hotel. According to the information, check-in was possible from 2:00 PM. Upon arrival we found a note on the door stating that there were no staff at reception. There were several guests waiting in front of a closed door. The emergency number was not answered despite several attempts to call. After two hours we still had not received a response. We canceled our booking via Booking.com and went to another hotel, where we were warmly welcomed.

Enjoyed a good overnight stay near Bamberg, learned to appreciate the young and friendly staff.A rich breakfast was offered so that we could start the day well. Only the shower thermostats are special, the balancing act between scalding and cooling needs to be mastered 🤓

We booked a triple room for one night.Parking options can be found either in the parking bays in front of the hotel, in the side streets or in the underground car park (for 9 euros).The train stop is less than a 10-minute walk away, so you can be in Bamberg in just a few minutes.The reception at the reception was extremely friendly, and they were always available to answer any questions in great detail.The triple room is in the small building opposite, a narrow staircase leads up. The room is very spacious, the sofa bed was quite comfortable. The room is not particularly modern, but completely okay. The windows are quite small due to the age of the building, but can be opened anywhere. The room and the bathroom were clean as well.The breakfast buffet had a large selection and the quality was okay. In addition to regular coffee, specialty coffees can be purchased separately for small amounts. However, the breakfast room where the buffet is located was a bit stuffy, the room opposite was better, if the weather is good you can also eat outside.

Nice hotel, well located for every kind of excursion.Good breakfast, the only point of criticism: during three nights the beds were not made once, despite instructions from the hotel and hand and bath towels were changed after the second night.

I can only praise the breakfast and the friendly staff.The breakfast was very rich and fresh.However, the room was definitely not worth the price. We were accommodated in the next building, with only a connecting door separating us from our strange neighbors. An imposition. You could hear every word, we were woken up at 6.30am by children screaming and hairdryers.If you get room 10 or 11... it's best to swap straight away!Criticism was dismissed with the sentence: I'm just a temporary worker here.Maybe, but as we all know, the staff gets the criticism. I hope this way the criticism gets to where it belongs.We will be in Bamberg more often, but no longer in this hotel. No recommendation
