We can only recommend the Hotel Seeblick, which is run by the Kommer couple.The rooms are clean. The food is delicious from the breakfast buffet to dinner.The Kommer couple welcomed my grandma and me very nicely.We spent 5 days there and enjoyed every single one.I can really only recommend the hotel 100%

Friendly family-run hotel in a beautiful location with a wide view of the Rureifel and parts of the lake. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and the owners have thought of everything. You can also dine outside on a balcony. Dinner is possible for hotel guests upon request and was very tasty. Rooms are of good standard. The location is convenient for hiking and cycling tours. A swimming area on Lake Rursee can be reached in 10 minutes by car. We felt very comfortable there and would highly recommend it.

Recommended hotel in Nideggen-SchmidtI was a professional guest at the Hotel Haus Seeblick for four days in July 2023 and July 2024. I was warmly welcomed by the owners, the Kommer couple, and felt very comfortable as a guest right from the start. My room was large, spacious and modernly furnished. The breakfast buffet with rolls, cakes, sausage, cheese, muesli, jam, Nutella, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs and orange juice was lovingly prepared. From the coffee machine, guests can get black coffee, café au lait, cappuccino, latte macchiato, cold and hot milk and hot water for tea. The hotel offers a menu only for hotel guests from Wednesday to Sunday evenings - soup as a starter, salad from the buffet, main course of your choice (meat dishfish dish or vegetarian dish) as well as dessert. On the second floor of the hotel there is a nicely decorated library with a refrigerator with drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) at very reasonable prices. Glasses are also available there; So you can take a drink back to your room. I will gladly come again.

The hotel is run by the Kommer couple in a family-like manner. As soon as you arrive, you are warmly welcomed and the host explains everything you need to do during a short tour. The room was clean and everything was fine for us. The breakfast was good and very hygienic. From 2 p.m. there was homemade cake, so people enjoyed sitting down on the terrace with a cappuccino and enjoying the great view of the Eifel and Rursee. In the evening the menu is really recommended, everything is freshly prepared here. Big compliments to Ms. Kommer for putting everything together here. There is a lot to do within half an hour, Rursee, Nideggen Castle, Monschau, wildlife parks, well-signposted hiking trails from the hotel, etc.It's a shame for us that there is no dinner on two evenings, Mondays and Tuesdays, but there are some good restaurants within a small radius of max. 10 km. We felt very comfortable with the Kommer family and the small staff at the Hotel Seeblick, so full marks in all areas and we will definitely come back. Thank you

Our favorite hotel for years. Wonderfully quiet, well organized, clean, great view, very, very nice staff and helpful owners. Excellent breakfast buffet, excellent filter coffee, great cakes, great dinner, whether from the menu or half board, which is always full of little surprises. Very good wines. An ideal starting point for hikes in the Eifel National Park, you will also be helped here with up-to-date weather and event information. You can even borrow tour suggestions, a GPS device and hiking maps.

Unfortunately we only stayed in the hotel for three nights. Since it was raining when we arrived, we signed up for dinner at short notice. There is a daily menu with soup, a delicious salad buffet, a meat dish, fish or vegetarian dish to choose from. No matter what you choose, it was simply delicious. Plus a dessert and everything cost €28 on Sept. 23. The breakfast was also very fresh and plentiful and designed so that nothing had to be thrown away afterwards 👍👍👍.We had a room on the 2nd floor without a balcony (and no elevator, you have to know that!!). The room was very new and clean.Also worth mentioning is the great library. Everything included 👍.We recommend.

I post a lot of reviews, but I find this a difficult one.I have also been to more than 20 German hotels so I am not used to this.We were in an exclusive room without shutters.It turned out that there were hornet wasps in the gutter next to our balcony door!Didn't notice anything on the first day and due to the heat I opened the balcony door and window completely at night.The next evening there were suddenly 6 hornets in our bedroom!We immediately reported this to reception. Apparently he was already aware of this.The owner has removed 2 from the room. You must be allergic!I react very strongly to insect bites and have to take pills.We were not asked: would you like another room? You would actually expect that.The only advice is to turn off all the lights and then open the window.You could actually hear them buzzing in the following nights and tapping on the windows with the window ajar, curtains kept scrupulously closed despite the heat. I also had diarrhea every day, so I went to the toilet a lot and woke up during the night.But it was very warm in the room, you don't dare turn on the light because that attracts the hornets, so I didn't sleep much for 3 nights. In retrospect, I think I should have just requested a different room.The owner said: "They don't do anything. A sting is like a bee or even less."Why not mention this to your guests when they get that room?If you have a severe allergy, it could kill you, so it would have been nice to report it or have the nest moved outside the hotel or not rent out the room.I personally think that 132 euros per night is quite an amount.Furthermore, the hotel is clean. Nice bathroom. Very good and extensive breakfast with beautiful views.I would also give that room shutters. For the warmth but also for these types of insects.

Sufficient parking space in front of the hotel, an honest, warm welcome, a beautiful and homely room with a panoramic view of Lake Rursee, and a very good breakfast rounded off the short vacation. We would like to come back soon and can only warmly recommend the hotel.

Very nice, cozy and high-quality room with a view of the Rursee. The mattresses are very good, not too soft and not too hard. In the modern bathroom, everything is perfectly arranged in a small space.The breakfast was first class and lovingly put together with lots of little things. A bit too much plastic, but hygiene sometimes comes first.The owners are very accommodating and the hotel has a bright feel. We say thank you for a great time. We can therefore only recommend the house and will definitely come back.
