Had dinner at Gasthaus Schiefeneder for the first time today. It was a family reunion with over 20 people including children. Our two children, ages 4 and 8, always got up from the table and looked around the guest room (which was only occupied by our family). They circled the empty tables several times, occasionally touching the curtains. Really only touched it when walking past, not pulled on it or played with it. Children don't just sit still at the table for two hours. When an older waitress, I don't know if it was the boss, came into the room, she went to the curtains and pushed the curtains straight again. She loudly made unpleasant comments about the upbringing of our children! We then brought our children back to our place. While we were all eating, the older waitress began rearranging the empty tables in the room, seemingly preparing them for another reservation. We found this to be very rude and inappropriate while eating. A while later she came back and again complained loudly about our children, but again didn't speak to us directly. She also complained to her colleague about the children and warned her that she should reprimand us or the children, as the children also get into trouble at home if they move the curtains! I have never experienced anything so outrageous in a restaurant! We then paid and left. That was the first and last visit! Children are obviously not welcome here!!! It's a shame, because the young waitress who was responsible for us was simply great! She deserves 5 stars!!!

Excellent food in the restaurant, great offers on the ladies evening. Be sure to reserve in advance!!! I can't rate the room as I was only there to eat.

Food was good except for the pepper cream sauce - unfortunately there was nothing to taste apart from the spiciness. Schnitzel was very tender, unfortunately the bradl was out again and then we had delicious roast pork. Unfortunately, the waiter didn't really try hard (didn't clear anything away/forgot orders, stood around), but the running girl was very hard-working (I hope the tip is at least shared). Beer garden is nice but unbearable after 9 p.m. (mosquitoes). Prices are still reasonable, we didn't have to wait long. When making a reservation, a table in the middle section (more comfortable seating and pavement) would have been nice.
