Hello, let's start with the bad news: to be honest, the prices are quite high for the size of the portions, and the drinks also cost. Everything around is visually getting old, including the toilet facilities. So now to the reason: A dedicated waitress with a tablet who takes orders and collects them later. Young staff who diligently bring drinks and food to the tables and then clear them away for us later. We were satisfied all around, but the only thing that struck us as positive was the delicious vanilla ice cream on my waffle, even though it was just dessert and just a topping for the waffle... It's sad. Staff were nice and quick, unfortunately you lose some attention if you use a tablet instead of looking around at the tables, but that's the brave new world. You can go there and enjoy a day with a beautiful view, yes, but we didn't find anything special. Now everyone can form their own opinion on site.

On August 30th we celebrated our wedding in Bergische Schweiz. We chose this location because not only do we have a lot of childhood memories attached to it, but because we knew that it would perfectly fit our ideas and our style as a couple.Months before the event, we sat down with the Bergische Schweiz team and discussed the process and our ideas.I don't think we've ever been advised with so much kindness and ambition.The team not only took our every wish seriously and implemented it, but also contributed their own valuable ideas.During the planning, we were in regular contact and were able to reach all colleagues at Bergische Schweiz day and night.From the start it was very personal and didn't feel at all like a "business relationship".I would like to emphasize that they took complete care of the decoration and put a lot of passion into all the preparations.The wedding itself was perfect for us. Although it wasn't a small celebration with almost 40 guests, we were very well looked after right from the start. The waitresses fulfilled special requests and were super friendly.We had access to the large indoor area, the pavilion and about half of the outdoor area. This meant there was plenty of space.The numerous animals housed and the beautiful view were well received by young and old alike.The appetizers, the buffet and the midnight snack were super tasty (like every food in Bergische Schweiz) and there was hardly anything left. As discussed, the buffet was cleared away after a while to make room for the dance floor.From start to finish the wedding was exactly how we wanted it and would celebrate any of our future events there again and again.Quote from our photographer: "I've never been to such a relaxed wedding."Of course, everything doesn't always go according to plan, but in the end it's about an unforgettable day for the company and the bride and groom, and without everyone involved from Bergische Schweiz it would only have been half as nice.One might think that because Bergische Schweiz has existed for almost 100 years, it is only beautiful for older guests. But we see it completely differently. Bergische Schweiz is always worth a visit for children, young people, families and older society.Thank you all for this unforgettable day!

Very nice family-run hotel that invites you to linger.The rooms are rustically furnished and extremely clean. In addition, the view was very beautiful. Goats, chickens and deer can be admired between the restaurant and the guest house.The staff is very nice and accommodating. You feel like you're at home.The barbecue evening in the restaurant was very nice and tasty. A great atmosphere.You can tell that everyone is putting a lot of effort into it

Bergische Schweiz is a beautiful restaurant with a mega ambience. The outside terrace invites you to linger. Deer and goats walk along the terrace. Man feels like he's on vacation 😊.The menu is varied so there is something for everyone. Whether for lunch or coffee and cake/waffles.

Anyone who visits Bergische Schweiz can look forward to a wonderful journey back in time to the 1960s. The food was of very good quality, not bagged or canned food, but honestly cooked. The service was nice and attentive.

Bergische Schweiz is a beautifully located restaurant with a lot of passion and commitment.From the terrace you have a good overview of the area and you can sit very relaxed and enjoy your food. The food was delicious and the portions were sufficient.The dishes and drinks were also reasonably priced.A real highlight, especially for children, is the beautiful “petting zoo”.All in all, I had a great time in Bergische Schweiz and can only recommend this restaurant!

A beautiful view in a restaurant that has retained its old charm in modern times. Still misunderstand. It's NOT run down or anything. Everything is beautiful the way it should be. The cake was delicious and the cappuccino was also very good. The waitresses were always there. We were there on a motorbike. For colleagues who also plan to do this, I would ask them to take things calmly and civilly in the last few meters. It goes through a community where motorcycles are actually forbidden. Only allowed for guests. To ensure that it stays that way for a long time, please be considerate. Just go up a gear and slow down a bit 👍
