Overall, this boutique hotel is a gem and can’t recommend it highly enough for anyone looking for a unique stay.The beautifully designed rooms are a true highlight; the hostess really has a great sense of interior design and style.The staff always go above and beyond to ensure my stay is perfect. Their local recommendations are always valued.The hotel’s location is great, around the corner from Münchner Freiheit (just three stops from the heart of the city) and yet offering a retreat from the hustle and bustle. Schwabing itself is beautiful; great coffee places, nice restaurants are just a short stroll away.Looking forward to my next stay at "Das Altschwabing"!

Modern rooms, very stylish and functionally furnished - everything you need is there. Own underground car park (be sure to reserve in advance!), which makes finding a parking space easier... The location is great, lots of small restaurants and cafes nearby and it's just a few steps to Leopoldstrasse. Mega helpful staff and great value for money! Clear recommendation for anyone who would like to live easily in the city without spending a fortune...

I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Altschwabing and was thrilled with the furnishings, location and service. The green roof terrace is simply great and the hotel rooms are decorated very differently according to a Munich theme and are simply phenomenal. I'm very excited about the facilities that I don't know yet!The lady at reception was very friendly and the check-in with the key box also worked perfectly. Breakfast was also great and all in all I had a great stay and can recommend the hotel 100%!

Great deal for the price as rooms are luminous and ample, the apartments provide a tiny kitchen corner that allows to prepare simple meals and breakfast. Located 2-3 minutes from the subway Muncher Freiheit and many cafés, bars and international restaurants in walking distance as well as a quick rider to the historic center, I found these apartments/rooms very convenient for a longer stay. Also, the TUM campus in Garching can be reached in less than half an hour by metro.

Processing and check-in were very uncomplicated. The room was clean and quiet, the terrace invites you to linger. Value for money is great! The hotel is recommended, we enjoyed our stay very much. Gladly again!

Nice hotel apartment with well decorated and clean room. There was a tv but didn’t try it. Reception was very friendly and patient in communicating through email.Wifi good.Great location, close to Münchner Freiheit station, English garden and also a nice walking route to old town.It was a little tricky to find the address as not a big sign in the street but hotel email guide helped.A small bookshelf with a few books can be a nice addition to the units.

The Hotel Altschwabing, now known as "Das Altschwabing", is an excellent hotel in Munich that I would highly recommend. The rooms are very spacious and have all been renovated, meaning they all have a modern and stylish design. The decor is very tasteful and the rooms are very clean and well maintained.The location of the hotel is unbeatable as it is located in the heart of Munich. You can reach many of the city's most important sights on foot, such as Marienplatz or the English Garden. There are also many great restaurants and bars in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, so you always have a good choice if you want something to eat or drink.The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful and make you feel welcome and comfortable throughout your stay.Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Altschwabing, now known as the Altschwabing. The rooms are large and modern, the location is great and the staff is friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Munich.

100% recommendation from us! The Altschwabing is a well-known hotel in Munich. We've been here a few times before. It reopened in a new look at the beginning of 2023. It is located in Schwabing, right on Münchner Freiheit, in a quiet side street. The rooms are spacious and tasteful, even lovingly and individually furnished. Very important for us, the bed is super comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal because you are very close to the subway and the like.

The hotel rooms and all rooms have been renovated and redesigned very tastefully and with great attention to detail. Each room has its own Munich theme. The location is great - the English Garden, restaurants, bars, shops and the subway - all within walking distance. We'd love to come back.

I ended up in Altschwabing on my skiing holiday while passing through and came across it quite by chance. The hotel was barely visible from the outside, but what was hidden behind it was all the more surprising. The rooms are newly renovated, I slept really well and the terrace is awesome. I hope I can come back in the summer and have breakfast there.

Brand new renovated, pretty, small boutique hotel in a top location. What is confusing is that most of the photos displayed here do not reflect the hotel at all, but rather an old condition. The newly designed rooms are all different and noticeably lovingly individually furnished (the really nice and committed owner personally showed us around and we were allowed to view the free rooms). A small but delicious breakfast is available for an additional charge and only by prior arrangement. The subway is right around the corner, so it takes 5 minutes to get to the city center. In addition, the beautiful English Garden can be reached on foot in no time.We will probably see each other again!
