Great location everything very walkable! Room was clean and bed comfy although definitely on the small side for a penthouse room. Lack of personnel (phoned at 6pm for parking help and no answer, then again at check out couldn’t find anyone) also slow responses from the whatsapp chat.(View from the open terrace walkway)

Very stylish hotel with a roof terrace bar. Unfortunately we couldn't use it because it was raining heavily.The rooms are minimalist but stylishly furnished and clean. Unfortunately we had a room facing the main street, which was busy all night. Since the windows are not soundproof, it was unfortunately very loud and robbed us of sleep.We would still come back with the prospect of a room facing the backyard :)Very nice staff who even let us check in a little early! Thanks :)

Very nice view, great ambience, drinks were good, rather affordable prices. Service was more of a 2/5, little motivation or friendliness. So would come back for the atmosphere and not the service and prices.

I was just in the bar. Nice little cozy barwith outdoor area. Service perfect.The drinks menu is very good, even with things you don't know. If you're slightly hungry, there's pizza from the pizza chef on the ground floor. I'll definitely go back again.Fraunhofer Str. subway stop right in front of the door.Tram stop is also nearby.

This is least hotel experience you can get while still being a hotel but you’ll have an absolutely amazing time!The entrance is totally unassuming and the entrance hall plays loud music, is dark and deserted - the action happens on the third floor (rooms) and the bar on the fourth floor which doubles as reception.Everyone was lovely and having a simple breakfast in the cool bar each morning was great, with the option of sitting out on the balcony overlooking beautifully green Munich.The rooms are all different - I got to see three including the one we stayed in, which had five-metre concrete ceilings. One room has a hammock and a bed up a ladder. 😂 The corridor with the rooms is pretty much totally black most of the time. Only Germany could make this sort of stuff so cool.It’s also worth saying, as someone who sleeps badly on the wrong sort of bed, that the bed, mattress and pillows are super comfortable and I slept really well for the whole time I was there.The hotel is close enough to the old city, the Aldstadt, as well as the river, to be able to get anywhere. A tram is moments away, as is the U-Bahn, which is thirty seconds away. The pizza shop downstairs, within the hotel building is also great. The bar upstairs is well known as a place to visit though even directly below it, we didn’t hear any noise in the evenings at all.I really recommend staying here - it was *such fun*, everyone was cool and it was totally the opposite to a Hilton or a Marriott where you’d get a sterile experience. This put a smile on my face every single day - thank you, everyone.

The hotel room was very great and big and beautiful! The staff would be very friendly and accommodating. The drinks in the bar were legendary and the sweet bartender (Alex) makes the best mezcal sour in town! All in all, a great experience that I can only recommend to everyone!!!

The employees are very friendly.The cocktails are sometimes mixed well and sometimes poorly.When we were there you couldn't order pizza anymore at 8:30 p.m. I find the cocktails rather expensive, especially when you take into account that sometimes there is so much ice in the glass that you have to take the ice out of the glass first in order to drink. The outside seating area is very small and was always full during my stay. The "terrace" (probably more like a balcony) would be closed at 10 p.m.

EDIT: Flushing Meadows had lawyers contact me five years after my stay trying to force me to take my critical review down. I refused, but I noticed in the following days that the hotel's rating suddenly went up as the number of total reviews miraculously went down. I would take the hotel's current 4+ rating with a grain of salt.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Don't expect help if you encounter a problem with your room.There was no hot water in our room at night, and we had been looking forward to showers after a long flight into Munich that day. When we sought help for the situation, no one was at the front desk, and no one answered the phone when we called the number in the information brochure. It was only 9:30pm, but there was no one at all to help us.The lack of hot water may have been a relatively small issue in the grand scheme of things, but we were surprised by the complete absence of staff or service, given the premium price of the hotel. There would have been no one to turn to had we had an overflowing toilet, a problem getting into our room with the electronic key, or any other sort of urgent situation.We had to wait until the morning to see if there was hot water, and fortunately, there was. When we mentioned the situation upon check-out later that day, the receptionist told us we were lucky we had hot water that morning, as it's often in the morning that they don't have hot water. She did not seem surprised that they had a problem generally with the hot water supply.The hotel refused to give us any refund, offering only a room upgrade on our next visit. But we will certainly not be staying at this hotel again: for the sort of price one pays for Flushing Meadows, one would expect a steady supply of hot water and some level of service. Instead, we were met with a complete lack of assistance and an apathy about the comfort of the hotel's guests.
