How can you be so great!?I was able to stay in this wonderfully cozy yet modern hotel for 12 nights (and thanks to a small faux pas on my part, spontaneously and thank God, another 13th night). Because of the positive reviews in advance, I bravely booked the small and fine hotel for my business trip plus a few days of private vacation afterwards and I am incredibly excited!Here peace and comfort meet extraordinary service and pure hospitality!You can reach the center of Sylt in about 15 minutes on foot (directly along the beautiful beach), and you can reach the center of the hustle and bustle in 5 minutes by bike. The situation is similar with the train station.Once you've turned the corner twice, beautiful meadows spread out towards Keitum and you can set off on the most beautiful excursions in any direction, the location couldn't be better!I thought the breakfast was great. Delicious treats are served in small preserving jars, the size is perfect so you don't have to leave anything behind that you can't manage. There is something for everyone and everything is fresh, wonderful!The small and fine wellness area is also recommended, I was lucky enough to be the only one there three times in a row, great for relaxing and reading, perfect!Finally, the heart of the great hotel, the staff makes this place a second home!There is an open ear for every concern, great recommendations for short excursions are happy to be discussed and you have the feeling of being warmly welcomed at any time 24 hours a day, thank you very much for that!Stay as you are and say hello to your little hard-working intern J.!See you soon 😊

Very easy to reach. Nevertheless, located a little away from the center of Westerland. Within 15 minutes on foot in Syltrummel. Nice staff. They tried very hard to make the guest's stay as pleasant as possible despite Corona restrictions.Repeat on June 17th, 2024. Everything as usual. Very good!

We can only recommend this hotel. We were in Sylt for a week and we didn't miss anything at the Hotel Südwäldchen. In 5 minutes from the sea in 15 minutes in the center. Breakfast was wonderful, nothing was missing. Our room with a balcony was beautiful. If you are looking for a small, fine hotel, you have come to the right place in the Südwäldchen. We'd love to come back.

Small, cozy hotel with a nice atmosphere.The breakfast buffet has something to offer for everyone, and supplies are always provided promptly by the friendly staff, with whom you can always have a chat here and there.The beach is only a 5-minute walk away via the dune stairs...you can also quickly get to the center via the path on the beach.The bus stop can also be reached in 5 minutes on foot.I'd love to come back.

An all-round great time at the Hotel am Südwäldchen.Arrive uncomplicated because the key is stored in a key compartment (code will be sent via SMS).The rooms are comfortably furnished - everything is there - towels, shower gel/shampoo, hairdryer and a capsule coffee machine, with a balcony. We stayed in a renovated small room with a new bathroom on the first floor.Fun Fact: Two houses are connected from the outside by a tunnel on the inside. So you can have a dry breakfast in the morning and comfortably go to the sauna in the evening.The staff are very friendly and have lots of tips for exploring.Conclusion: We (couple, mid-30s) will be back. Traveling by train is also perfect. On site you will be provided with a bus ticket for your entire stay. The bus, line 2 (Lerchenweg) stops about 6 minutes walk from the house.Thank you dear team “Hotel am Südwäldchen”.

We felt very comfortable in the hotel. It felt like being at home. Everything was very lovingly decorated and prepared (at breakfast). The staff was very friendly and always available for a chat. This made you feel more like staying with friends than in a hotel. We can recommend the hotel without reservation.

This is basically a vacation home with hotel amenities. The service and friendliness of the people there is amazing. Quality of the breakfast is outstanding and the size of the rooms is double or triple of what you have in a hotel.To be fair:- the rooms is pretty old school and is missing some additional outlets- the breakfast buffet is rather small- in April 2023 the is construction just across the street. The noise level was absolutely acceptable for us buti could imagine it gets louder

Small, fine hotel. We really enjoyed our stay here on Sylt. The hotel may be small, but that is exactly where its strength lies. Absolutely quiet location and the staff was super nice and accommodating. They were always up for a little chat and so we were able to pick up one or two insider tips. The room was always clean and the breakfast was also delicious.We also really liked the fact that we got the bus tickets with us, so we were able to visit and admire the island with the SVG.

All in all we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast rich and good. (Bread rolls were ok)Nice staff, if you had any questions you could contact them. Good location on the southern forest. The beach could be reached in 5 minutes. The sauna was included and drinks from the vending machine in the afternoon.What I only have to give 4 stars for is that the bed was too small for a double bed and the mattresses were too hard for me personally.
