The Windhoek was booked because it was our first time in Sylt and we got a room (large suite) at short notice, as it is quite centrally located and also close to the beach. In addition, the breakfast was always rated as very good.The impression of my wife and me:- it is not a hotel, but a (luxury) guesthouse Garni.- Ambience very nice- Service for breakfast AND the breakfast was really great.- Room cleaning was very poor on the first day despite a generous tip.- Even the largest “suite” is small.- the pantry kitchen has no extractor hood - not usable for us.- On the day of departure you can only leave luggage until 3:45 p.m., then there will be no one left to open the hotel. Very bad.Conclusion: we now know our way around Sylt and would book something else. (but stay in Westerland).

The 4 stars are no longer justified.Suites quite nice... room service poor... once not at all, twice only after asking. And then no change of bed linen in a week, that should be possible with 4 stars.Room service doesn't understand German.The only bright spot is the lady at breakfast... trying to catch everything. Always approachable.The reception is only occupied sporadically.I was here 5 years ago...it was still very friendly and you felt comfortable.Too bad

We were guests in Windhoek for six nights from the end of August to the beginning of September 2024. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Individual customer requests were addressed immediately. The rooms were spacious and clean. The room facing the street was a little noisy at night. But everyone sees it differently. The breakfast was very extensive and varied. Also 5 stars. The location to the beach is also sensational. We'd love to come back. See you soon 😉

Close to the beach and the center in 10 minutes walk.Recommend renting bikes that you can easily get around with.Good breakfast, but lacks an open bar/service in the evening.Otherwise full pot 👍

I can't imagine a more beautiful place in Westerland than Windhoek. Everything is very elegantly and comfortably furnished with great attention to detail. Everything is always super clean. And the service ladies ensure a lovingly prepared, extensive and delicious breakfast. Everything is just top notch! Thank you for this lovely stay!

Full ***** star recommendation. Great location in Westerland, two minutes to Brandenburg Beach and only three minutes to the center. Great rooms, super clean, mini kitchen and balcony. Friendly staff and the fantastic breakfast ensure a successful start to the day. We look forward to 2025.

Very nice little hotel. With everything you need for a great vacation. The location is very central on Brandenburg Beach (approx. 200 m). Perfect for all kinds of activities. The rooms are well equipped. To feel good.The breakfast is plentiful and varied, especially the small jars with salads and fruit are particularly good. The staff is courteous. We gave everything to have a great time. We will definitely be back.

When I arrived I was warmly welcomed by the employee Alina. She was not only responsible for the reception but also for the first-class breakfast service. My room lacked nothing: microwave, cooking facilities, Nespresso coffee machine, refrigerator, etc. Breakfast room and (self-service) bar were very tastefully and lovingly furnished. The breakfast was extremely elaborately prepared - lots and lots of delicacies in small glasses to take to the table - and extremely tasty. It was my first time there and I'm still absolutely thrilled.

Rather inconspicuous from the outside, but great inside. The suites are very tastefully decorated and maintained. The service outside of daily business hours is purely based on trust. You write down what you eat and it is then calculated in the final bill.

I can only comment on the pricing as we did NOT book as a result.We wanted to take advantage of the 4 for 3 offer at the beginning of February and then asked for an offer. The offer is advertised on the website with a price of around 600 euros. We were all the more surprised by the response from Windhoek. We were supposed to pay 900 euros plus 50 euros per night (4x) for our two small dogs. When I asked why the price was suddenly so high, I got the succinct answer that the offer didn't have a fixed price, but AB! 600 euros applies.Oh well......thanks very much, but in February I can get a 5 star hotel on Sylt for that price!!!!! And what's strange is that I could book through Booking for 700 euros!!

This was our first time in this hotel and we will definitely come back. Don't be put off by the outside view, there's a pearl inside. Very well maintained, clean and high quality interior. The rooms offer everything you need. An extremely varied breakfast buffet with freshly prepared egg dishes, etc. The entire staff is very friendly and welcoming. A special thank you goes to the lovely breakfast fairy, Beata, who sweetened the start of our day with a lot of joy every day.
