Plus:- very friendly and helpful staff- cheap compared to hotelsNeutral:- Breakfast is standard- WiFi in the room but unstableMinus:- Shared toilets and showers- Interior design/equipment not very modern- Breakfast room full and quite narrow- Environment on the outskirts of town not very inviting- House music (see comment below)The last point deserves a detailed comment: During our stay, a brass choir rehearsed throughout the day and confidently filled the common rooms with sound. While you can just keep walking in the pedestrian zone, you were pretty much at the mercy of a tour group's rehearsals and performances here, because trumpets and other brass instruments aren't exactly very discreet instruments! The people in charge of the hostel obviously had no objections to this. At least the night's quiet was observed, but until 10 p.m. (!) there was lively music playing for all the guests, whether they thought it was nice or not. I realize that a youth hostel is not a cemetery and shouldn't be, but a little more consideration for other guests would be welcome. In my opinion, this should also be a concern of the hostel management.

Really good, I can only recommend it. Rooms in good condition, nice common area with microwave, kettle and games. Location in the forest and breakfast are also good.

The youth hostel in Ulm charges disproportionately high prices for young guests under the age of 26, which exceed the financial capabilities of many young travelers. It is unfortunate that an amount of €180 is charged for just two nights with breakfast in a twin room. These costs include not only regular accommodation, but also an additional energy fee and a flat rate for occupancy of the twin room. These additional fees mean that the total price for young travelers is disproportionate to the services offered. In particular, the fact that neither toilets nor showers are available in the rooms reinforces the feeling of being overpaid. As a young person on a limited budget, it is disappointing to see that the youth hostel in Ulm charges such high prices for comparatively little comfort. The lack of privacy and convenience due to shared sanitary facilities should not be acceptable in such an expensive stay.It is important to note that there are other accommodation options near the youth hostel in Ulm that offer better facilities and more comfort at a significantly cheaper price. The fact that a nearby hotel offers comparable or even better accommodation options at a lower price highlights the disproportionality of the hostel's prices. It would be desirable if the youth hostel in Ulm would rethink its prices and ensure that young travelers receive appropriate and fair conditions. At the reception I noticed a slightly overwhelmed impression and it seemed that the staff were not particularly interested. Unfortunately, our opinion was not asked and we were not given any information about where we could find or dispose of the laundry. The breakfast was relatively good for me. The woman in the kitchen had everything under control and ensured a pleasant atmosphere.

Unfortunately, our telephone booking was not passed on to the head office, so that in the evening we were left with all our luggage and a small child without a booked room and had to look for something else.We can't say anything about the rooms. The location is nice, but the service is subpar, at least in terms of organization.

We were there for one night and felt comfortable. Large lawn to let off steam and seating behind the house was very pleasant. Check in and check out no problem, card payment possible. No WiFi reception in our room, room clean, spartan with sink. Collect laundry room in the hallway. We were only informed of this when we confirmed the booking. Breakfast was also possible outside. Staff in kitchen or reception, very helpful and nice. Parking spaces in front of the house.

We were guests here as a family for a few days. All the employees were super friendly - a big thank you for that. As some reviewers have already described, the youth hostel is certainly looking forward to a soon (?) renovation, which is also absolutely necessary visually. We found the breakfast and dinner to be absolutely reasonable considering the price. Only the rolls from the day before could have been warmed up briefly on Sunday so that they wouldn't be so "mushy"...So if you are looking for inexpensive accommodation in Ulm, JuHe is definitely a good choice. However, you have to make limitations in terms of comfort. But no problem at all for us.We would definitely book again.

We spent two nights on our bike tour in the youth hostel and overall we found everything good. Is normal youth hostel standard, but perfectly fine. The showers are newly renovated.
