Haus Schlesien is located in a district of Königswinter not far from Bonn. It is a historic estate that has been converted into a hotel with restaurants and a museum. There is also an idyllic beer garden in the inner courtyard. Our hotel room was large, but outdated and certainly no longer meets today's expectations. The bathroom/toilet is tiny and only one person can stay in it. There is also no elevator in the hotel.Breakfast offers a wide selection of dishes, although overall it is rather simple (no ham, simple cheese, filter coffee, no salmon). The staff is very friendly and committed. The parking lot (free) is across the street. For me the price-performance ratio is not particularly good.

Our room was dark and dirty. The roof window could not be locked, let alone locked. Its interior blackout was not common and looked very worn out. The window at waist height met you when you opened it. Hinge broken. Built-in furniture in dark wood. Rest of the furnishings in natural wood. Toilet/shower made from a plastic tray. Floor dipped when walked on. Room service was very poor and non-existent, although the trash was reliably taught. Breakfast probably with baked rolls and scrambled eggs from the pack? All in all, the House of Silesia has seen better days. Can't recommend it.

Beautiful, with a huge garden and terrace. Very nice staff, comfortably furnished, good food. You can feel really comfortable. There is a small Bunzlau ceramics exhibition, a library and a chapel. Celebrating and staying overnight in the same place is great here. Guests who are not staying overnight can also book breakfast if there is space available. There wasn't a hairdryer in the room, but I didn't ask if I could get one.

To be honest: it was scary! Had something of a lost place... Room old without any comfort - but the bathroom, if you can call it that, was the height of impudence: a complete plastic cell in one piece. Calcified fittings, no hairdryer. In the morning at 6:15 a.m., some cages on wheels were pulled through the paved courtyard, which was nice to be woken up loudly! Unfortunately we couldn't see what woke us up, some of the windows were facing the floor and the others were facing the sky! And once you've survived the night, a loveless breakfast awaits you in a musty room that smells of frying oil. All in all, Welcome to the 70s and it smells like that everywhere. Never again !!! If we hadn't been so late, we wouldn't have stayed overnight.

The review refers ONLY to the hotel, I wasn't in the restaurant.Phew... Yes, the hotel is certainly cheap considering its proximity to Bonn, but that's all.WiFi didn't work, nor did the tiny TV.The plastic toilet/shower cubicle is borderline "disgusting" and is in dire need of renovation as is the rest of the room.I wouldn't book here again. The employees are very friendly and accommodating, I would like to emphasize that.
