I came here as a pilgrim and was received with confidence. Had a nice room with a terrace and was able to continue walking the next day after a restful sleep and a hearty breakfast! It's just a shame that there is no longer a successor for this family business...

I was in town for a wedding and had a good stay here. My single room was modern and clean, even equipped with a small kitchen. The Mahringer guests are warm and helpful. Thank you for the pleasant stay!

1st impression (building from the outside) - oh dear, this former traditional house looks pretty dilapidated [renovation backlog], which is where my rating for the "Location" section comes from - BUT:2. The rooms are great, plenty of space, very comfortable beds, the kitchenette, the sanitary area - perfect - and even a small. There is a terrace. I had >150 hotel nights per year for business and even in some 5* hotels I would have liked to have had a room like this more often3.)History makes you sad - no successor (as with so many houses that - originally - were run and maintained in family tradition)4.) ConclusionAll in all quite good price/performance ratio

Affordable accommodation in a modern double room (room 45 with terrace) with a small kitchenette in a very quiet location. Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired and you can also take it with you. Very friendly innkeeper.Booking via cell phone number without any problems even though it was a Sunday afternoon (1 overnight stay: June 30th - July 1st, 2024)Photo terrace: Since it is always somehow windy on the Alb (see the many wind turbines), the parasol was put down as a precaution.

Unfortunately, the family had to close the old inn with its own butcher shop. But the guest house behind it has beautiful, functional rooms. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, great! The breakfast in the old inn was also good...you were also kindly allowed to take a snack with you. Conclusion, highly recommended as a stop on our Albtäler bike tour!
