I'm just looking at the pictures and even looking at the dining room and the half-timbered building reminds me of our stay at the school camp back then. It was in 1966! With our teacher, Mr. Sieber, we did morning exercise in the forest and folk dancing on the terrace. We shopped at the Orion department store in Aalen. It was very nice with you, the food and stay were simple and good.

I don't think the youth hostel is very good. The walls are dirty and the wooden board is falling out. The sinks are only attached with silicone. I give it 1 star

Stay July 2022.Would we come here again with a class?Yes!!Why?The hostel father responds very flexibly to requests (meal times, taxi transfer of luggage).Plenty of food, always fresh salad buffet, much better than in many school canteens...Everyone can make their own lunch packs, whether just an apple or 5 salami sandwiches.three museums within walking distance, climbing park and deep tunnel a must. What speaks against it?No fridge for teacher drinks...bus stop a little further away.We had lovely days in Aalen, thank you.P.S. Wifi works well, but do students need it?

Five stars from me......for the staff: They were incredibly helpful, thought along, were always available if there were any problems and were there for us about what to expect. To give just one example: Short-term changes to meal times were certainly associated with additional effort for the hostel manager and his staff. Nevertheless, everyone was always deeply relaxed and didn't let us feel it.…for the food: For breakfast there was a wide selection of different cereals, cheese, sausages and jams. The hot dinner was a selection of the highlights that all children like. The selection was always vegetarian, pork-free or “normal”. Nobody had to do without.…the facilities: there were several lounges, two fireplaces, one of which was covered, table tennis tables, collections of games…I was in this youth hostel as a student in 1992. Not much has changed since then. But anyone who books youth hostels cannot expect hotel standard. That's why I can't understand some of the negative criticisms from some previous reviews. Our students had a lot of fun this week. We'd love to come back!Thank you for the lovely stay!
