We just walked briefly across part of the square and then continued straight away. Unkempt, perhaps suitable for a stopover. Registration and the restaurant were closed (Sundays in September) and everything didn't look very inviting.

Beautifully located small campsite on the Edertalsperre with lots of potential for improvement. The plots are generously sized and nicely grown in, the lawn was mown. However, the operator is probably more concerned with maximum profit. Contacting us by email = no response. Reception is of course not staffed, but there are 3 telephone numbers. Unfortunately not taken, voicemail or call rejected! After a long wait, a friendly operator. Cumbersome registration.€41 per night for a small mobile home with 2 people including tourist tax was an outrage for what we paid.Gastronomy, that used to be the case, but now the farm is pretty run down. Relatively new sanitary facilities that feel like they are cleaned once a week are not possible! Two nights, but never again...

The campsite is a bit old and not particularly well maintained. The bathhouse is relatively new and ok.The lady at reception was extremely overwhelmed. For a normal registration it took three quarters of an hour. The plots are grown in but it feels like they haven't been cut for 2 years. The place is only on an equalization basin of the Edersee and is very overpriced at 35€ plus 1 euro tourist tax plus 1.50 environmental surcharge per day. (1 van, 2 people per night)

We had wonderful days here thanks to the fantastic weather and beautiful surroundings. We had a wonderful time cycling and walking around the Affoldener See and especially around the Edersee. Unfortunately, the campsite is a faded glory and looks sad. Huge shame. The friendly lady at the reception is hardly present, but there is also no information that you can choose a spot yourself, which means that many camping guests leave because no one is there. Besides some regular places, there were only a few tourists besides us. We had a very spacious pitch and electricity and sanitary facilities (free) were fine, but unfortunately no atmosphere or conviviality at this campsite. 40 euros for a camper van and 2 adults is too expensive for this campsite.

A very nice campsite, it's a shame that the restaurant is closed.

I was there for two nights on a road trip in a van. I had a beautifully mature plot. I was greeted warmly by the owner. However, there is no luxury. It's a simple place with nice care. There was nothing to complain about for my expectations and requirements

When we arrived, the reception was not manned, but the operator came after a call. She was very nice and explained the essentials to us. Since we only wanted to stay on the pitch for one night, we agreed that we would be there at the latest! will leave at 10 a.m.The facility (parking spaces) was well maintained. Restaurant is not managed. And it looks accordingly, totally neglected. The men's toilets and showers were apparently fine. It was not possible to enter the ladies' room that evening. The smell was terrible. The next morning it was a little better, but only a little. If you want to use the sanitary facilities, you get a transponder (€20 deposit). When you put it on for the first time it showed €8.40, but it should have €10 on it. Basically we showered with two people (1x each) for €4.60. Among other things, it was said that money is lost from the transponder when water is running. It continues to run if the transponder remains attached to the intended attachment, even if water is not running. On the day of departure, we were at the reception at 9 a.m. together with another couple. But no one was there. When I called, the operator was very unfriendly, she said it would be 10 a.m. and she didn't come before then. But she didn't come until 10:30 a.m.!!! Besides us, there were already 4 mobile homes waiting that wanted to leave the facility. Unfortunately, when the operator was there, we didn't hear an apology. You can't win guests like that.We definitely won't come again!
